Inclusive children's culture facilitator for the school sector

At Brøndby Culture Houses and Libraries we take children and their reading seriously, and we do our best every day to create lively learning spaces in an inspiring and inclusive way.

We are looking for you who are passionate about creating communication in collaboration with schools and for children and young people aged 6-15 years. You know the initiatives and development projects that the country's libraries work with in the school sector and can translate knowledge and experience into relevant and exciting communication to the schools in Brøndby Municipality.

What will you do?

You will become part of Team Children and Families, which works with communication and offerings to children and young people aged 0-16. You will be 8 colleagues in the team, where each contributes with their focus area and professional knowledge to reach the common goal. Forstadsmuseet, which is part of our organization, will also be one of your fixed collaboration surfaces.

You will be responsible for developing, planning and implementing activities in collaboration with the school sector, so even more children and young people get exciting and relevant encounters with literature.

Your primary tasks will be to

• Further develop and cultivate new collaborations with the school sector
• Create activities and communication together with the school sector and children and young people in school age, with a focus on reading enthusiasm and reading culture
• Develop projects with a view to relevant development funds, including contributing to the application process and planning
• Be a host in our library loans and at activities
• Develop communication to children and their families in leisure time and holiday periods with a focus on learning and communities together with our children event team

Our wish is that the position will strengthen and develop our collaboration with the school sector with a special focus on developing strong and sustainable offerings with large volume.

A little about you

We would preferably not set a formal on who you are - the most important is that you are passionate about children and young people, reading and culture and have experience from the area.

We will be very happy if you can bridge between disciplines and see opportunities in collaboration. You may very well be passionate in your communication to children and young people and have a head full of good ideas for how we put our collection to use and get even more children to read and be part of meaningful communities.

It would be an advantage if you have experience with binding collaboration across organizations, e.g., collaboration with municipal administration, external cultural actors or similar. It is also an advantage to have experience with or knowledge of project- and process management.

You must have a relevant educational background such as librarian, cand.scient.bibl., cand.mag or equivalent.

Brøndby Culture Houses and Libraries are Kulturhuset Brønden in Brøndby Strand, Kulturhuset Kilden in Brøndbyøster and Brøndby Libraries, which together with the two culture houses and a smaller library in Brøndbyvester.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and qualifications.

The job is full-time with flexible working hours.

There will be evening and weekend work in connection with the organization of events and activities.

There is loan duty every 3rd-4th Saturday and Sunday opening in the winter months.

Start date 1 January 2027
