About the job

Do you want to help develop the competence pathways of the future in the welfare sector?

The Competence Center at SOSU H is seeking an independent and relationship-oriented consultant who can build trust, identify needs, and translate dialogue with our customers into relevant competence development pathways.

You do not need to be the biggest subject-matter expert in the room. Instead, you should be able to listen, ask the right questions, and be the collaborative partner our customers can safely lean on.

As a consultant in the Competence Center, you will work with competence development for employees in the welfare sector in collaboration with, among others, the region, municipalities and private providers of welfare services.

You will become the client's ongoing partner and drive the process from needs assessment to development, coordination and evaluation of competence programs.

We are looking for you who thrive on responsibility, relationships and development, and who can work independently without losing sight of collaboration.

Your tasks include, among others

  • Lead and coordinate client tasks, timelines, agreements and stakeholders, and ensure a good handover to instructors and administration when relevant.
  • Build and maintain customer relationships through dialogue, needs assessment and ongoing follow-up.
  • Assemble relevant competence pathways in collaboration with customers with a focus on anchoring in practice
  • Follow the programs through to completion, evaluate results and agree on the next steps with the customer.
  • Be proactive in practice, identify development opportunities and contribute to further developing the Competence Center's offerings through an investigative and solution-oriented approach.
  • Contribute to grant applications and follow-up on allocations.
  • Work in a structured way with IT systems, contracts and administrative tasks.
  • Contribute to sparring, idea development and knowledge sharing in the team.
  • You will have independent responsibility for your customer tasks and your workflow. This requires you to be able to priorities, create progress and keep track of agreements and follow-up, even when several programs are running simultaneously.

We envision that you

  • Have a solid health-professional background, at least five years of practical experience from the health or welfare sector and familiarity with the hospital sector or the municipal area.
  • Have teaching experience and an understanding of how competence development can support learning and practice.
  • See yourself as a consultant and partner rather than as a disciplinary expert.
  • Are good at creating trustful relationships, listening with curiosity and meeting customers and colleagues with humility and acknowledgment of their experiences, knowledge and positions.
  • Work in a structured and responsible manner, have control of your own tasks and workflows and ensure that agreements are followed through.
  • Are investigative and development-oriented and can find solutions that create value for both the customer and the SOSU H Competence Center.
  • Are familiar with digital collaboration tools e.g. Excel and Teams and use AI in a reflective and value-creating way with a view to quality, relevance, data security and the need for human assessment.
  • Contribute positively to our community with engagement, humor and the desire to share knowledge.
  • Experience with project or task management, grant applications and collaboration with public or private organizations is an advantage.

You must be prepared for meetings with customers. A driving license and access to a car are an advantage, and some activities can take place in the evenings or on weekends.

You do not need to know everything – but you must be able to drive the task

You will become part of a dedicated consultant team where we actively use each other’s skills and experiences. You will collaborate closely with the head of education and instructors who are responsible for the pedagogical and teaching professional quality.

Your role is to ensure the coherence between the customer's needs, the agreed solution and the implemented competence program. You must be able to coordinate the right competences and hold fast to agreements and progress – without yourself being an expert in all professional details.

We are looking for you who take responsibility, build trust and follow the task through to completion – with a focus on the customer, collaboration and the overall solution.
