About the job

We are looking for a dedicated fitter for a small company that develops and delivers solutions for working at height, e.g. ladders, scaffolding, stairs and access routes. The company acts as a solutions partner for its customers and places emphasis on quality, safety and good craftsmanship. Here you will become part of a small, close team with high engagement and a good atmosphere in everyday work.

You will regularly work 3–15 metres up from a lift, scaffolding or ladder – of course with proper fall protection. Therefore, it is important that you are comfortable with heights and ready for physically demanding work and heavy lifting. There may also be overnight stays on projects (approx. 10–15 days annually), which are always planned well in advance.

Responsibilities

  • Assembling solutions in the workshop
  • Installation of ladders, wall ladders, stairs, access routes and fall protection
  • Measuring and preparing for projects
  • Transport and coordination between warehouse, production and installation
  • Collaboration with colleagues and external partners
  • Problem solving and quality assurance during installation
  • Occasional warehouse work, e.g. picking and packing for larger orders

Professional qualifications

  • Has a craftsman background, e.g. fitter, mechanic, electrician, mason, carpenter or similar
  • Has experience with installation, construction, building or similar tasks
  • Has experience with steel and/or aluminium
  • Has technical understanding and a sense for quality in the work
  • Can work independently and take responsibility for your tasks
  • Has a B driving licence (BE and forklift certificate are an advantage)
  • Has a focus on safety and proper documentation

Personal qualifications

  • Has hands that are fit for practical work and enjoys hands-on work
  • Is steady, responsible and solutions-oriented
  • Thrives with physical work and tasks both in the workshop and with customers
  • Keeps an overview – even when several projects are in progress
  • Can work closely with colleagues and contribute to a good working environment
  • Is flexible regarding travel and varying work days

Special conditions The company offers

  • Full-time position of 37 hours/week
  • Normal working hours Monday–Friday 8:00–16:00
  • Possibility of a 4-day workweek on longer projects
  • Possibility to take time off in lieu for overtime
  • Daily shared lunch
  • Social activities about once a month
  • Lunch and hotel covered for installation tasks with overnight stays
