Inspector for operations and maintenance in Central/West Jutland

Banedanmark has decided that 90% of all railway maintenance must be carried out by external contractors. This means Banedanmark will henceforth be responsible for ensuring that railway maintenance is carried out in accordance with plans, contracts, standards and rules. We therefore need skilled employees who want to contribute to this work.

You will be employed in the Maintenance division in our supervision department for Jutland and Funen. You will be part of a team of 13 supervision staff, distributed across different locations in the country. Your workplace will be our office in Herning, but with the possibility to work from Fredericia.

Your upcoming responsibilities

As a supervision officer at Banedanmark you will have a varied day-to-day, where you supervise maintenance tasks on the railway and support the Geographic Subject Specialists and Welders' Responsible. You will have tasks both on the railway and administrative tasks at the office.

Your tasks will include

• Supervision of maintenance tasks and in periods also renewal tasks in connection with projects
• Quality control of completed work and supervision of work processes
• Line inspection and urgent supervision tasks
• Support for the Geographic Subject Specialists and Welders' Responsible as well as knowledge sharing with colleagues
• Administrative tasks, including reporting and participation in meetings with the supervision group

Most of the supervision takes place during daytime, but there will also be a need for night supervision in connection with ongoing work. Here you supervise, among other things, work processes, working environment, railway safety and the employees' competences.

You will go through a training and education program, after which we expect you to independently be able to supervise, assess significant issues and respond appropriately to them. You do this with a dialog-based approach.

What are we looking for?

We are looking for supervision staff who have knowledge of the track area and technical solutions.

It is expected that you have at minimum passed the courses Track Technology 1 and 2 and have solid experience from work on the track, particularly with renewal or maintenance. In addition you must have Banedanmark's safety training SR2 and OR-safety training. You must also be prepared to undergo a training program within the supervision discipline itself.

As a supervision officer you will perform safety-classified work and must therefore meet health requirements in the railway sector. That means you must meet certain health requirements, which involve a medical assessment of your hearing, vision and colour perception as well as any health conditions such as diabetes, epilepsy and cardiovascular diseases, etc.

Furthermore we imagine that you

• are an experienced IT user, preferably with knowledge of Excel
• communicate well both verbally and in writing in Danish and English
• have a driver's license for a passenger car

It is also advantageous if you have experience with tools SAP PM, F2 or other maintenance management and administration systems.

Salary and terms of employment

You are employed according to the currently applicable Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees Organisations – The State Sector (OAO-S collective agreement) and the organizational agreement between Banedanmark and the Danish Railway Union.

The position is as a rule placed in salary group 4, corresponding to a base salary excluding pension of DKK 32,813.86 per month according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here .

Depending on your qualifications and competences there is a possibility of negotiation of supplements. The total salary will include an employer-funded pension scheme of 16%.
