Lecturer for the Pedagogical Assistant Education at SOSU Syd – with a particular focus on the adult social care sector in Sønderborg.

SOSU Syd has just opened Social | Pedagogical Assistant at Campus Ahlmann in Sønderborg - a pedagogical assistant education oriented toward the adult social sector, developed in close collaboration with Sønderborg Municipality. We now seek a lecturer who wants to help shape the education and set the direction from the start.

In the Pedagogical Assistant education at SOSU Syd we are a small team of highly engaged and energetic instructors, who have ambitions on behalf of the students, teaching and the education.

With our strategic efforts for the education, we have a clear ambition to raise the quality in the pedagogical area. We will give our students a strong professional identity, relationship competencies, theoretical knowledge and practical experience, so that they can contribute to increased well-being, learning and development for all target groups.

Increasingly more municipalities are choosing to employ PA students, not only in general education but also in services for adults with disabilities and in care homes, where they contribute to strengthening well-being and creating meaningful everyday environments. Therefore the pedagogical assistant education at SOSU Syd must be agile and in step with future trends in pedagogical practice.

About you

• You are trained as a pedagogue and presumably have a medium-length or long higher education degree within the pedagogical field.
• You have broad experience of at least 5 years within the pedagogical field, preferably with work with adult citizens in the social and disability sector, and you keep yourself updated on the latest research in the pedagogical field.
• You have a professional pedagogical diploma or are willing to pursue it.
• You have insight into what it means to work with citizen involvement and based on the citizen's own resources and wishes.
• You have courage to work with learning processes and pedagogical methods and have an eye for differentiating pedagogically and didactically.
• You have an interest in digitization and welfare technology and can see their strengths and applications in the pedagogical field.
• You have good collaboration skills and a desire to help shape Social | Pedagogical Assistant education in close dialogue with practice.

About the tasks

• Teaching primarily on Social | Pedagogical Assistant education at Campus Ahlmann in Sønderborg.
• Development of holistic learning pathways in close collaboration with other instructors.
• Pedagogical development work based on a fixed strategic framework, sparring and team meetings.
• Form tutor for students.
• Teaching on other cohorts of the pedagogical assistant education as well as teaching tasks across the school's other programs may occur.
• Collaboration with the students' employing authorities, including Sønderborg Municipality as a close partner.

The Social and Health School South is a self-governing vocational education institution under the state with about 130 employees. We work focused on our strategy, which can be felt in the school's daily life. We are a dynamic organization where not only students learn, but where we as a school also learn and develop.

Salary and terms of employment

Primary place of work is at Health Campus Ahlmann in Sønderborg, as well as the school's address in Aabenraa.

The school uses private MitID for identification, which you must be prepared to use.

You must provide your own car for external tasks. A travel allowance is provided according to state rates.

In connection with the appointment, a child and criminal record check will be obtained.

Employment start: January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Employment norm: 37 hours per week or as agreed.

Salary: In accordance with the applicable collective agreement for Leaders and Teachers (SOSU) - CO10.
