Ikast-Brande Municipality is seeking an insurance and risk management consultant , who will be responsible for the municipality's insurance area and play a central role in developing the municipality's risk management. The position is placed in the finance department as part of the consultancy and analytics team.

A broad and complex insurance area

The municipality's insurance program includes, among other things, buildings and contents, contracts, motor liability, occupational injury, business and product liability, special liability, travel, crime as well as collective accident insurance.

Since the municipality is self-insured for occupational injuries, handling of these is naturally a major part of the tasks.

The municipality is also self-insured for comprehensive car damage and voluntary efforts.

You will be the municipality's central professional resource and must ensure that the insurance program continuously aligns with the organization's needs and risk picture.

From claims handling to risk management

You will have a versatile everyday life with both concrete claims and risk management. Your tasks include, among other things:

• administration and development of the municipality's insurance portfolio
• claims handling – including occupational injuries and liability claims as well as advice on insurance and compensation issues
• dialogue and negotiation with insurance companies, brokers and other partners
• assessment and advice on insurance needs and risks, e.g., in construction projects and new activities
• analysis of claims and risks and development of preventive measures and decision basis
• we expect you to look beyond the individual claim: What can we learn, and how do we prevent it from happening again.

Who are you?

We imagine that you have a relevant insurance-related or legal education and several years of experience from, for example, an insurance company, insurance broker, municipality or another large organization.

It is an advantage if you have experience with claims handling, occupational injuries and self-insurance, risk management, liability law as well as dialogue with insurance companies and brokers.

As a person you are independent, structured, analytical and relationship-driven . You communicate complex issues clearly, build trust and find solutions that work in practice. You have professional depth, but you meet the organization openly and friendly.

We want to strengthen proactive and preventive risk management , and you will have the opportunity to develop the area and create coherence between insurance, prevention and operations.

You will be a central part of the municipality's functioning insurance team and must ensure that the insurance program continuously matches the organization's needs and risk picture.
