With capacity for 64 children, arranged in a infants' unit with space for 24 children from 0-3 years, distributed over two rooms. Kindergarten with space for 20 children aged 4-6 years.

Qeqqata Municipality seeks a skilled and engaged staff member for the integrated institution. The Education Department aims to create curious, resilient, healthy and happy children. It is expected that you as an employee and your immediate supervisor focus on achieving these goals.

Job and responsibilities

You must be responsible for complying with Parliament Act No. 62 of 20 November 2023 on pedagogically developing offers for preschool-aged children, as well as working according to guidelines that can be found on the Qeqqata Municipality website regarding Qeqqata Municipality's political visions, child- and youth policy and pedagogical goals.

Criminal and Child Certificate

This position is subject to the Act on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. In accordance with the law, employment may only commence after the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore note that the start date can only be agreed upon once the municipality has received a child certificate from the Royal Danish Police and a criminal record certificate from the Police.

Child certificates are obtained by the municipality with the consent of the individual, where criminal certificates are obtained by the individual for the Police.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunatsinni Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) and SIK or another relevant negotiating organization.

Start date: to be agreed.

Employment will be on a 3-month probationary period.

Housing

For the position, staff housing may be allocated for social helpers and pedagogues, but not for nursery aides, for whom a deposit and rent, consumption, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payments in Greenlandic Self-Government properties and municipal properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be provided immediately on commencement, temporary vacant housing will be offered to employees with the right to vacant housing, for which rent, consumption, etc. are paid according to the above.

Arrival travel and household goods relocation are provided in accordance with the applicable rules.
