About the job

Interns and apprentices

Intern for Quality & Continuous Improvement, Frontmatec Controls

Are you interested in becoming an Intern at a visionary technology company where you can largely plan your own workday, and where you have the opportunity to work with many of the theories you have studied in your education? If yes, you now have the opportunity at Frontmatec Control Systems.

Our former intern Oliver says the following about his time as an intern

My internship period at Frontmatec has been a very positive experience. The best part of the internship has been the possibility to work with real tasks that create value for the company. Instead of working with fictitious cases, I have taken responsibility for tasks that are actually used in the organization, which has been both motivating and educational.

The position as an intern offers work contributing directly to our development toward Business Excellence. You will be part of the work to create better alignment between processes, systems, quality and business, so we can work more consistently, efficiently and data-driven across business units. As an intern you can, among other things, help map and improve workflows, support the implementation of new systems and tools, strengthen knowledge sharing and translate good ideas into concrete improvements in daily life.

The role therefore gives you the opportunity to have a strong influence on the future way we work, and can largely be tailored to your competences, interests and what you can contribute.

The job is in Skanderborg area.

Frontmatec Control Systems is part of Frontmatec, which globally has about 1,200 employees. Controls Systems employs about 230 people distributed across offices in Skive, Odense, Stilling, Smørum, Sønderborg and we have 50 employees in Spain. We have a strong position within the automation industry, where we solve tasks across many different segments.

Your tasks will include

  • Building and implementing a new project management system in collaboration with an external consultant and an internal project management team (ONE POINT)
  • Maintenance, further development and support of the resource management system (ORBIT)
  • Building and streamlining reports in PowerBI
  • Implementation and maintenance of the project model
  • Migration of the file drive and initiation of a new shared file sharing system

Working hours will be flexible but typically around 37 hours per week. The duration of the internship will be tailored to your education and the workday will also accommodate your studies. We expect the internship to last about 4-6 months.

Your profile

You are well underway with your education in IT and communication, Global Business Engineer or similar. You have knowledge and interest in value creation via processes, Best practice and quality assurance. In addition you have understanding and technical insight into SharePoint and Teams, SSMS, Microsoft Office suite, e.g., Power Automate, Power Apps, Power BI and Excel

At the same time you have an interest in facilitating workshops and producing standard working processes, just as you can develop process flows with input from key input providers.

We expect you to be passionate about the areas, be curious, and eager to develop your knowledge and to confirm that the competencies you have gained through your studies can be translated into practice.

Important is also that

  • You thrive in a role that reaches across large parts of the organization
  • You thrive in a changing everyday life
  • You thrive with many diverse tasks, some very small and some larger
  • You will help shape the role depending on competencies and interests

In addition, you are outgoing, can work independently and have many balls in the air at once. You focus on opportunities rather than limitations as you work purposefully, structured and results-oriented. In addition you are versatile and prepared to take on both the exciting and the more practical tasks.

We offer

An informal work environment with a lot of exciting tasks. There is a lunch scheme, free soft drinks, fruit and wonderful colleagues.
