Internal Job Posting: Business Director – Core

ECIT Services is seeking an engaged and results-oriented director within the Core segment.

As a Business Director you will have overall responsibility for operations, financial results, employees and further growth at several of our locations. The role is central to the development of the company – professionally, commercially and personally – and you will be an important contributor to the company's leadership team.

At the same time, this is a change assignment. ECIT Services faces the largest transformation in the company's history: we are developing the organization from generalists to specialists, uniting nine companies into one, and dividing the customer portfolio into the Core, Pro and Pay segments to deliver the right expertise to the right customer – regardless of which office the customer belongs to. Core is our largest segment by volume and the engine of operations.

Technology, standardization and AI are what enable the specialization, and we are looking for a leader who will own that development in their own region.

We are looking for a leader who will build the delivery of the future – not just manage today.

Reports to: SVP F&A Norway – Core

Personal responsibility: Between 3 - 8 department heads

Part of: Core leadership team in ECIT Services AS

Work location: Eastern Norway - regular presence at the offices that will be part of the area of responsibility.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for operations, profitability and goal attainment
• Resource planning and coordination of customers and resources across locations, so that competence – not geography – determines who solves the task
• Follow-up on customer development, quality and financial results
• People management for department heads within Core, including development, follow-up and skills building
• Lead budgeting processes and follow up on financial key figures and performance targets
• Ensure compliance with established routines, internal control and quality requirements
• Contribute to growth through collaboration with sales, marketing activities and customer development
• Be a driver for culture, collaboration and continuous improvement across locations and professional communities
• Actively participate in strategic development and improvement work in the company

Technology, AI and new ways of working

This is a prioritized area of responsibility in the role. The Business Director is not only a recipient of central initiatives, but a driver of technological development in close collaboration with the Edge organization.

• Drive introduction and realization of benefits of AI, automation and digital tools in deliveries
• Identify and prioritize use cases where AI and automation provide real impact on time usage, quality and margin – and drive them from pilot to production
• Set goals and measure impact: time saved per process, automation level, quality improvement and impact on profitability
• Drive standardization of work processes and system usage, which is a prerequisite for both automation and specialization
• Contribute to building digital competence and willingness to change, so that new tools are actually used – not just implemented
• Challenge the current delivery model: which tasks should no longer be done manually, and what does that free up capacity for
• Be a voice in the division's technology and AI work, and share what works across geographies

Specialization and change management

• Translate the specialization strategy into practice: define specialist roles, professional responsibilities and career paths together with the department heads
• Be a visible and credible change leader in the shift from generalist to specialist
• Actively contribute to the merger of companies: common routines, systems, ways of working and culture
• Protect employees and customers through the change, maintain delivery quality along the way, and address resistance early and openly
• Build leadership capability – make the department heads confident enough in the change to lead their own teams through it
