Would you like an internship that gives you both professional challenges, hands-on experience and a strong sense of community? As a intern at LINAK you will become part of a unique intern network and have the opportunity to work professionally with electronics in an international company.

Each semester we welcome 20–25 interns from different study programs. You will become part of the LINAK family and work closely with skilled colleagues. There is the possibility to work on both larger and smaller tasks, all arising from real challenges in value-creating projects.

About the internship – Electronics

We are looking for interns with drive, a desire to learn and an interest in electronics, who want to become part of a professional and collaborative environment.

We are seeking interns in the following areas

Existing products (EP)

In EP you work with existing LINAK products and help ensure their competitiveness throughout the product’s life cycle. You take a central role in improvements, testing and optimization and collaborate closely with both internal and external partners.

Tasks can include

• Analysis and implementation of technical product improvements and optimizations
• Circuit design, testing and fault analysis in connection with production and quality improvements
• Documentation and support of the product’s function, quality and lifespan

Research & Development (R&D)

In R&D you work with development projects and become part of the process from idea to ongoing production. You will work with complex circuit designs, testing and implementation as part of larger development projects.

Tasks can include

• Design, analysis and testing of electronic circuits
• Implementation of solutions in development projects
• Documentation of your own work throughout the development process

Projects

Varies depending on qualifications and interests. Here are a couple of examples of projects that previous interns have worked on:

• EP:

Quality and cost-optimisation project based on an older LINAK product, including circuit design, SPICE simulations, selection of new components, PCB layout and EMC testing.

• R&D:

Development of a 200W AC-DC flyback converter as a power supply for control boxes, including transformer design, efficiency estimation and testing, and identification and elimination of EMC challenges – with ongoing trade-offs of cost, efficiency and complexity.

About you

To create the best possible match, we would like to know what motivates you about electronics. You do not need to know everything in advance – the most important is that you:

• are pursuing a relevant education, e.g. mechatronics, electronics or similar and are passionate about electronics
• see opportunities rather than limitations
• desire practical experience and a steep learning curve
• have a positive and welcoming attitude
• can view issues from multiple perspectives
• are motivated by technical challenges
