About the job

Are you curious about how to develop and program fully automated production plants? At BILA you get the opportunity to build on your practical experience and work with robots that do exactly what you want.

Hello, World! Meet Reality.

You won't just be allowed to look on – you come up close as we build and program intelligent, automatic solutions for industry. Here you get hands-on experience with everything from PLC programming, servo technology to robot technology and become an important part of the team and the code from day one.

The internship is divided into two development phases

  • Part: Academy (4 weeks)

You start by getting a handle on the basics of Kawasaki robot programming (We are distributors of Kawasaki robots in Denmark). In addition, you get to master our PLC-framework and the associated function blocks. Finally, there is a mini-project where you build and program an assembly station. You learn, among other things, about sequence control and the construction of robot cells – and you also gain insight into how we do it at BILA.

  • Part: Into the real world (6 - possibly 16 weeks)

Thereafter you become part of one of our software teams, where you get your own development project together with a fellow intern. You will be allowed to participate in the whole process – from specification and coding to commissioning and delivery. You will always have the opportunity to get sparring from an experienced programmer along the way. The project is created with a focus on the possibility that we can collaborate during your final educational project.

If you didn’t get a 404 on interest, keep reading…

What you’ll get into the code

  • A good introduction and close collaboration with skilled colleagues
  • Opportunity to work with real challenges and potential customers
  • Opportunity to work independently and take responsibility
  • A glimpse into an exciting and growing industry
  • A fixed mentor to guide you all the way

The practical stuff

We have the opportunity to offer an internship at our head office in Nykøbing Mors , where you will become part of an inspiring and developing environment. If you don’t live nearby, fortunately there are good and affordable housing options close by, so you can easily find a place to stay during the internship.

The internship period typically lasts 10–12 weeks. Afterwards we hope you will choose to write your subsequent project in collaboration with BILA.

We strive to have two interns at a time, as we experience that this provides the best learning outcomes and the greatest development for you – and this is important to us.

Start date is agreed individually depending on your education. The internship is unpaid , but we offer all our interns a good canteen arrangement, coffee (the energy source behind much of our best code), participation in social events, relevant equipment available, and the possibility of subsidies for travel expenses.
