Would you like an internship that provides you with both professional challenges, hands-on experience and a strong sense of community? As a trainee at LINAK you will become part of a unique intern network and have the opportunity to work professionally with software and IT in an international company.

Each semester we welcome 20–25 interns from different study programs. You will become part of the LINAK family and work closely with skilled colleagues. There are opportunities to work on both larger and smaller tasks, all arising from real business issues in value-adding and cross-functional projects.

About the internship – Software or IT

We are looking for interns in software and IT who are proactive, eager to learn and interested in working in a professional IT organization focused on growth, digitalization and process optimization.

As an intern you will be part of cross-functional projects and have the opportunity to work at the intersection of IT, R&D, production and business.

The tasks may include

• collaboration with IT architects and R&D on planning and evaluating applications in LINAK Application Portfolio
• collaboration with Production IT on planning and coordinating applications and integrations as a foundation for AI and ML initiatives
• participation in programming tasks in our Development Team
• development of customer-facing digital solutions for LINAK’s ambitious digitalization program
• software development in C#, including test design, estimation and execution of development tasks
• work with business intelligence and reporting across data sources (e.g. Power BI, DAX, SQL, Fabric, dbt)
• work with data science and AI, including statistics, mathematics and data processing (e.g. Python, Azure ML, genAI, Fabric)
• process automation and integrations, including Power Apps, Power Automate, Dataverse, Logic Apps, UiPath and user interfaces

In addition, your everyday life will be shaped by exciting professional discussions, knowledge sharing and innovative thinking. You may also be involved in tasks such as:

• planning and facilitating workshops
• needs clarification, interviews and alignment of expectations
• process definition and implementation of processes and guidelines

About you

To create the best possible match, we would like to know what within software or IT motivates you the most. You don’t need to know everything in advance – the most important is that you:

• are pursuing a relevant education, e.g. software engineering, IT architecture, data science or similar
• see opportunities rather than limitations
• want hands-on experience and a steep learning curve
• have a positive and approachable attitude
• can see problems from multiple perspectives
• are motivated by professional challenges
