For English click here; Internship supply chain
Do you want an internship that gives you both academic challenges, hands-on experience and a strong sense of community? As a trainee at LINAK you will become part of a unique intern network and have the opportunity to work professionally with supply chain in an international company.
Each semester we welcome 20–25 interns from different study lines. You will become part of the LINAK family and will work closely with skilled colleagues. There are opportunities to work on both larger and smaller tasks, all arising from real problems in value-creating projects.

About the internship – supply chain
The internship within supply chain includes among other things internal logistics, process improvements, collaboration with suppliers and optimization of the supply chain. You will work with analyses, optimization and implementation of improvement initiatives – often based on LEAN principles.
A natural part of daily work is to understand the organization’s needs and translate them into practical and usable solutions within your area of expertise.
Tasks may include
- Analysis and optimization of internal logistics and supply chain processes
- Productivity improvements with focus on LEAN and process validation
- VSM mapping, go‑gemba activities and identification of improvement potentials
- Optimization and automation of warehouse, goods handling and flow of goods
- Cross‑department collaboration to ensure robust and implementable solutions
If you have experience with or interest in simulation, these skills can also come into play and be challenged.
Projects
Varies according to qualifications and interests. Here are a few examples of projects that former interns have worked on:
- VSM mapping and process documentation with subsequent process validation and optimization
- Flow analysis of transport between buildings and optimization of driving patterns
- Layout changes of the warehouse with analysis of material flow from warehouse to production and subsequent flow optimization
- Mapping of packaging consumption and identification of cost reduction opportunities in collaboration with production and suppliers
- Participation in global supply chain projects, including:
- Supplier optimization initiatives and cost‑down projects
- Supplier Relationship Management (e.g., cockpit/dashboard solutions)
- Analysis of contract terms, including buffer agreements and overview of liability
Read here what Oliver – our intern from autumn 2025, who is Mobility, Transport and Logistics – tells about his internship experience:
”I have been very happy with the department and having a good supervisor who listens to the areas of interest I had. I have enjoyed going on a one‑week excursion to see how the entire logistics in Padborg works and have had meetings/workshops with DSV and NTG about optimizing containers. I think it’s really cool to be able to contribute and be listened to regarding the suggestions for improvements I have had.”
About you
To create the best possible match, we would like to know what motivates you about embedded software. You don’t need to know everything in advance – the most important thing is that you:
- are pursuing a relevant engineering or business education, e.g., operations and supply chain management, mobility, transport and logistics, cand. merc. or similar
- see opportunities rather than limitations
- want practical experience and a steep learning curve
have a positive and welcoming approach
- can see problems from multiple perspectives
- are motivated by academic challenges
