  • You wish to contribute to creating good patient pathways
  • You have good collaboration skills and are ready to collaborate with many different professional groups
  • You are good at maintaining a good tone, even in a busy shift.

About us

Bornholm Hospital belongs to the Region Hovedstaden and is the island’s only hospital.

The Department of Medical Diseases receives a broad and unsorted patient clientele within internal medicine and houses many specialties – including cardiology, pulmonology, endocrinology, neurology, geriatrics, palliative care, nephrology with dialysis, and oncology.

The Department of Medical Diseases functions as a unified unit and is normed to 43 beds and 5 children’s places, including a palliative ward with 5 beds. The Department of Medical Diseases has about 4,000 admissions and 30,000 outpatient visits annually.

The hospital has associated specialists in a number of specialties and thus also participates in specialized treatment pathways. In the palliative area, we cooperate with Diakonissestiftelsen.

We have about 6 KBU programs per six months, 2-3 doctors in introductory positions, 4 doctors in partial introductory positions with BFH, 1 HU doctor in general medicine and 1 HU doctor in geriatrics.
