The position is a combined role covering two dynamic departments: you will as a starting point work about 4 days a week at the Language Center and about 1 day a week at the Job Center.
The link between operations and the IT department
As our new IT employee you will become the local "first aider" close to the users. You are the person people contact when the screen fails, equipment needs to be set up, or a new employee needs a good welcome. At the same time you will play a key role as the link between the Language Center, the Job Center, and Holstebro Municipality's IT and Digitalization. You solve tasks locally on site and ensure that central IT decisions and new workflows are implemented smoothly in the organizations.

- Microsoft & professional systems: You also manage and administer our Microsoft platform, maintain the library system Cicero, and handle the lending of technical equipment.
- Near-"first aid" IT support: You provide direct support to staff and students – including troubleshooting on interactive whiteboards and laptops and introducing new equipment and software.
- Structure and overview: You maintain an overview of IT inventory, license management, and data processing agreements.
- Facilitation of workshops: You plan and update staff on new programs or updates.
Daily life and tasks at the Job Center (ca. 1 day/week)

- Preparation and hardware: You are responsible for preparing, installing and physically setting up PCs, mobile phones and iPads, as well as creating and guiding new users.
- Operations and implementation: You maintain internal IT pages and work closely with the local system administrator and the central IT department to keep the wheels turning and roll out new digital workflows.
- As an IT first aider you participate in dialogue meetings and actively contribute to professional sparring with the other first aiders and Holstebro Municipality's IT department.
