IT Infrastructure Architect

Do you have an eye for the holistic architecture – from cloud and data center to networks, identities and OT? And are you motivated by translating complex technical needs into robust solutions that can endure for many years?

As an IT Infrastructure Architect at Evida you will play a central role in developing the IT infrastructure that supports a company with responsibility for critical infrastructure in Denmark.

You will become the technical architecture function in IT Operations and will receive both mandate and responsibility to create direction, coherence and long-term solutions across our IT infrastructure. This means you will be close to both strategic decisions and the technology they must be translated into.

You set the direction for our infrastructure

In the role you will be responsible for defining and further developing Evida's overarching IT infrastructure architecture and roadmap.

You will work across cloud, data center, network, client platforms, identity and OT and become an important technical liaison between IT Operations, Enterprise Architecture, Cyber Security, the business and the rest of IT.

A significant part of your work will be to ensure that new technologies and solutions fit into a cohesive architecture and support our requirements for security, stability, compliance and scalability.

You will, among other things,

• define and maintain infrastructure strategy, roadmaps, architecture principles, standards and reference architectures
• set the architectural direction for Azure and hybrid cloud, as well as automation
• define principles for network architecture, redundancy, segmentation and integration between IT and OT environments
• collaborate closely with Cyber Security on Secure-by-Design, Zero Trust, identity, access management and other security controls
• evaluate new technologies and conduct technical reviews of projects and solutions
• contribute to Disaster Recovery Planning, Business Continuity Planning, monitoring and logging
• drive technology transformation initiatives and create increased standardization and automation in IT Operations
• prepare technical recommendations and decision papers for both IT leadership and other relevant stakeholders
• actively participate in Evida's Architecture Forum and ensure alignment between the infrastructure and the overall enterprise architecture.

You will also become a close technical sparring partner for the IT Operations Manager and play an important role in the decisions concerning both the infrastructure and operational IT security.

You see both the architecture and the reality behind it

We imagine that you have a solid technical background in IT infrastructure and over several years have moved toward architecture, technical design and strategic technology choices.

You may, for example, come from a role such as solution architect, infrastructure architect, lead engineer or senior infrastructure specialist.

The most important thing is that you both have the technical heft to challenge and qualify solutions and the ability to look ahead and see the consequences across a larger organization.

We expect that you have strong knowledge in several of the areas

In other words you do not need to be a specialist in everything. Instead you must be able to understand the connections and set a technical direction across.

If you have a relevant IT education or certifications in areas such as infrastructure, cloud or solution architecture, that is an advantage.

We also imagine that you have about 8-10 years of experience with IT infrastructure and preferably 3-5 years of experience in an architecture role such as lead engineer or similar. Experience from larger enterprise environments is important, while experience with critical infrastructure, energy, utilities or industry would be an advantage.

As an architect you will have many interfaces, and your influence depends not only on your technical knowledge.

You should be able to take complex technical challenges and make them understandable and usable – for specialists, managers and colleagues with a different professional background than your own.

IT with significance for critical infrastructure

At Evida we work with infrastructure that must operate – also when requirements for security, robustness and documentation are high. Therefore architecture and technical choices take on a different meaning than in many traditional IT environments.

You will become part of IT Operations in Viborg and will work closely with infrastructure specialists, Cyber Security, Enterprise Architecture and other parts of IT.

Here you will have the opportunity to shape how Evida's future IT infrastructure should look – while being close enough to the technology to ensure that the architecture also works in practice.
