About the job

Do you have experience with Linux, Python and software development – and a desire to develop and automate solutions for a society-critical IT infrastructure?

We are looking for an IT specialist who will work at the intersection of software development, automation and network operations. You do not need to be a network specialist from day one, but you should want to understand the technology your solutions will support.

We offer

  • a meaningful job close to the health service's critical IT infrastructure
  • the opportunity to combine software development with networking and complex infrastructure
  • great professional freedom and good opportunities for skills development
  • a strong professional environment with a focus on collaboration and knowledge sharing
  • flexible working hours, the option for hybrid work and a 37-hour work week including a paid lunch break

About the job

A significant part of your task will be to translate needs from network specialists and daily operations into robust and usable software solutions.

You will among other things work with development and maintenance of internal applications and tools, primarily in Python, including Django-based solutions, Linux-based platforms as well as integration between systems via REST APIs and other interfaces.

Your responsibilities will include

  • develop solutions for automating network and operations tasks as well as supporting documentation and monitoring
  • collect, process and present data from network and management systems
  • troubleshoot, maintain and further develop existing applications and tools
  • ensure documentation, version control and knowledge sharing about the solutions you work with
  • work closely with network specialists, architects and other IT specialists to develop solutions that work in practice

Your profile

We imagine that you have a background as a data scientist or a similar IT education – or have obtained equivalent competencies through practical experience.

We are not looking for a finished network specialist. The most important thing is that you have a solid foundation in software development and Linux and are keen to use your competencies close to the technical infrastructure.

But to do well in the job you should

  • have experience with Python
  • have experience with Linux
  • have an understanding of software development, databases and integration between systems
  • be able to work in a structured way and troubleshoot and further develop existing solutions
  • be eager to learn and familiarize yourself with new technologies

It is advantageous, but not required, if you have experience with or familiarity with, for example, Django, REST APIs, networking/TCP-IP, Ansible, NetBox, CI/CD, containers or AI/AIOps.

Who are you?

You do not need to be an expert in all the technologies we work with. We are looking for a person with a solid technical foundation who is curious and motivated by developing solutions that will operate reliably in a large production environment.

You can translate needs from colleagues into concrete technical solutions, and you thrive both with independent development tasks and with close collaboration with network specialists and other IT specialists.

We value that you work in a structured way, document your work and are keen to both share your knowledge and develop your own skills.

About us

You will be part of Network in Infrastructure and Operations under Digitalization and IT. We are 20 specialists in Aarhus, Viborg and Skive with responsibility for the network infrastructure that connects the region's hospitals, clinics, administrative units and data centers.

Your primary workplace is Aarhus, where the initial focus will be on introduction and close cooperation with colleagues.

Interested?

Send your CV and a short application describing your experience and motivation for the position.

You must submit your application no later than 30 October 2026. We expect to conduct first interviews on 10 November and second interviews on 20 November. In connection with recruitment you can expect to complete a personality profile.

If you have questions or are curious about the job, you are welcome to contact area manager Reidar Lænø at 40 38 45 98.

Flexible working life, ongoing development and good framework

You will experience that there is a focus on you as an employee and as a person. We work with ongoing performance reviews and regular 1:1 conversations with your immediate manager, so there is always a focus on your well-being and development. A good working life also means time for a life outside of work. Therefore, hybrid and flexible working life is important to us; you have good opportunities to arrange your workday yourself and you can work from home when tasks allow it.

As a new employee in our large organization, we ensure a carefully planned onboarding process, where you participate in our internal academy, where you get to know the entire organization better. We work to create the best framework so you can develop and further strengthen your skills.

The work week is 37 hours with a paid lunch break and good conditions.
