About the job

Become an important part of the foundry at BIRN in Holstebro

Do you like making things happen - and are you comfortable using both mind and body at work?

Then we have a spot on the team for you.

At BIRN we help create the cast components that become part of products and solutions across Europe. As iron runner you will be an important part of the process - right next to the hot melt and where quality is established.

We are looking for an iron runner for a shift work, where you work day shift one week and evening shift the next.

You are involved when iron becomes quality

As an iron runner you take on a central role in this process and help ensure that the right quality is achieved when performing iron treatments.

It requires precision, overview and respect for the process.

You transport the molten iron, add the correct alloying materials and ensure that the furnace is ready for the next part of production. It is a job where your decisions and your effort have direct impact on the quality of what we produce.

In short: You help create the foundation for good foundry goods.

A job for you who want to use your body

You will work in a warm production environment, where you both walk and stand a lot.

Therefore it is a physical job where you must thrive being active through the entire workday.

On the other hand, you get a job with variation, responsibility and plenty of collaboration. You will become part of an experienced team where everyone helps each other and depends on everyone doing their part properly.

You do not need to know the foundry in advance. We train you thoroughly, and you get buddy-on training where safety, quality and understanding of the process are in focus.

We imagine that you

  • thrive with physical work and being active through the workday
  • are keen to work in shift work - day shift one week and evening shift the next
  • work carefully and have an eye for quality and order
  • have good numeracy and can follow a process where precision is important
  • have a forklift certificate - and preferably crane certificate - or are ready to take it
  • can work in a warm production environment
  • can read, write and communicate in Danish

As a colleague you are

  • Reliable. You know production only runs when people can count on each other - and we place great emphasis on that.
  • A team player. You contribute to a good working environment and are happy to help your colleagues when needed.
  • Flexible. You are ready to take action and solve different tasks when the day requires it.
  • Responsible. You take care of yourself, your colleagues, the equipment and the quality of what we produce.

You get more than just a job

At BIRN you become part of a workplace with proud traditions, diligent colleagues and production that requires teamwork.

We offer

  • good and orderly working conditions
  • thorough training and opportunity to develop your skills
  • a everyday with skilled and experienced colleagues
  • canteen with delicious meals every day (employee pays)
  • collective agreement employment
  • pension after 2 months of employment
  • health insurance after 3 months of employment

Are you interested in becoming part of the team and helping to create quality right from the first melting? Then we look forward to hearing from you.
