Job Consultant for Job and Development at Jobcenter Favrskov

Are you passionate about proactive outreach to businesses and can you build a broad network of companies? Do you have an eye for job openings and can you match citizens' competencies with the needs of employers when unemployed citizens need to enter the labor market?

Then this 1-year position as a job consultant in Job and Development from January 1, 2027 – preferably earlier – may be something for you!

We are looking for a job consultant who will

• Work with citizens who are cash benefit recipients and covered by the Integration Act.
• Create jobs, establish wage subsidies and company internships for the target groups.
• Plan individual trajectories and sometimes provide hands-on support – in collaboration with citizens and companies.

As a job consultant, your primary tasks will be carried out in dialogue with employers and citizens at the workplaces. You will, as a job consultant, play a central role in helping citizens enter the labor market, guiding them in preparing CVs, job searching and job-search material.

There will also be administrative tasks associated with establishing and following up on company-based programs. There may be a need for somewhat longer descriptions of the company-oriented initiatives when decisions are made about citizens' work capacity.

In the department there is close collaboration between caseworkers and job consultants. The aim is to create the right match between citizens' resources and competences in relation to the companies' needs. At the same time, there is close monitoring of the citizen's progression and situation, and occasionally parallel social- or health-related efforts are initiated when there is a need to support the employer-focused effort.

In Job and Development we believe that work capacity is best developed at companies. We have experience that a fast, job-oriented effort is crucial for keeping or integrating citizens into the labor market. We therefore frequently follow up on citizens' progress and focus on development and upskilling. Our goal is that citizens as soon as possible obtain paid work when they create value at the workplace.

Your tasks

• Prospect and build a strong business network focusing on jobs, small jobs, wage subsidies or company internships.
• Support and follow up with citizens and companies in the company-oriented programs.
• Participate in network meetings with job consultants across the job center, including joint sparring and theme days.
• Collaborate and contribute to joint problem solving across the team, the department and the job center.

Your qualifications

• Ideally experience with the job consultant role and proactive outreach to companies.
• Strong in company contact, able to open doors in a credible way and with a solution-oriented approach.
• Understanding of companies' needs when they have to welcome employees with other challenges than unemployment.
• Clear communication skills – both verbally and in writing.
• Great drive, focus on results and the ability to work purposefully.
• Good mood and a desire to contribute to a positive team collaboration and work environment.

The position is anchored in Job and Development. The department handles employment initiatives and benefit tasks for flexible jobs, integration, cash benefits and resource programs – as well as tasks related to the Professional Team and the Pension Team. Job and Development consists of 44 ambitious and engaged employees: 3 administrative, 1 interpreter, 10 benefits caseworkers, 14 job consultants, 12 employment caseworkers, 3 professional coordinators and 1 department head.

Salary and employment conditions

1-year position, 37 hours per week.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the relevant collective agreement – HK or DS. The salary is set according to the New Pay principles.

Requirements

It is assumed that you have a driver's license. Favrskov Municipality provides the higher travel allowance rate.
