About the job

The world is moving, and Denmark continues to receive many displaced people from Ukraine and refugees from countries outside Europe. Do you want to help create the framework for a good and meaningful integration of adults and families in Slagelse Municipality?

We are looking for an engaged and experienced colleague who wants to help strengthen our cross-disciplinary efforts and make a difference for new residents.

About us

Integration and Network is the cross-functional integration effort in Slagelse Municipality, which for more than 10 years has helped new residents get started with work, education and a new life in Denmark. We are 32 colleagues in the effort, consisting of integration advisers, job brokers, interpreters, family consultants, administrative colleagues and a manager.

We work with a broad target group: activity-ready, job-ready, self-sufficient, spouse-supported and students. In addition we help EU workers, repatriation seekers and newly arrived families under Barnets Lov (Child Act).

We offer

  • A meaningful job with a high degree of independence
  • Thorough introduction and ongoing professional sparring
  • A good collegial community with focus on well-being and collaboration
  • Flexible working hours and the possibility of home working one day a week

Your tasks

As a job and integration adviser you will have authority responsibility and must handle case processing under the Integration Act and the Act on Active Employment Initiatives. You will take responsibility for citizens who need clarification due to health challenges, just as there will be job-ready citizens who need a job-oriented focus in collaboration with our job brokers.

Your tasks include among others conducting conversations with a focus on work and education, designing individual programmes with internships, wage subsidies and Danish education, cross-disciplinary collaboration with job brokers and family consultants as well as follow-up on agreements and goals in the citizen's plan.

You must be able to structure and prioritise your tasks independently and ensure that the legislation is translated into practice that creates value for citizens.

For the experienced profile, the content of the position can also include tasks related to professional coordination.

About you

You are trained social worker (socialrådgiver) or social facilitator (socialformidler) and have several years of authority experience.

It is a prerequisite for success in the role that you have strong relational competences and meet people with empathy and curiosity. In addition you are good at listening, understanding and guiding based on conditions that may be challenges in relation to health, social conditions, cultural understanding and labour market experience.

It is important that you are a team player who thrives in a cross-disciplinary environment and actively contributes to good cooperation and the working environment. We work cross-disciplinary, and interdisciplinarity requires a good eye for strengthening the work community in general, so that everyone has good conditions to achieve their part of the task – both internally in the department, in other administrations and in relation to external partners.

In order to be able to hold the position, it is crucial that you master Danish in both written and spoken forms to a degree that makes you able to translate legal text into practice and write at a high professional level. In addition, it is important you have data discipline. Knowledge of the professional system Schultz Fasit would be an advantage.
