Job Consultant for citizens farther from the labor market in Hillerød Municipality – 30 hours/week.

In Hillerød we have a special focus on citizens who have been in a job clarification program for more than one year. Therefore we are looking for a job consultant who is motivated by working with complex issues and creating positive changes for people in vulnerable life situations.

As a job consultant you will play a central role in the effort to bring citizens closer to work or education. The task combines authority work with the role of employment mentor, where you, through a guided and holistic approach, support the citizen in taking the next steps toward the labor market. Your efforts are crucial to create progression in the programs and to strengthen the citizens’ belief in their own possibilities.

Your primary task will be to support, guide and motivate citizens in longer-term job clarification programs, so they achieve the best possible conditions for getting a job or education. At the same time you undertake an important pre-course effort and collaborate closely with IPS consultants, job consultants and other partners. Together you work towards the citizen achieving ordinary employment and paid hours or gaining access to relevant company-oriented offers.

More about our section and your tasks with us

The position of Job Consultant is linked to the section “Jobs and Resources,” where we are responsible for the authority areas; activity-ready citizens over 30 on social welfare, citizens in resource paths, citizens in longer-term job clarification programs and the entire integration effort. We also have responsibility for the citizens on disability pension who want an employment effort as well as a preventive social housing effort. The common denominator in our section is that the citizens, usually, need a multidisciplinary and coordinated effort to gain a foothold in the labor market.

We are a total of 19 employees in the section, and the tasks range widely, which provides a dynamic team where we can utilize each other’s professional strengths and perspectives.

We work with a cross-sector focus. We do this because we believe collaboration is essential to succeed in getting our citizens out onto the labor market. At the same time we stand on a solid methodological foundation, where we work from the solution-focused method (LØFT), trauma-aware practice and recovery-oriented rehabilitation. All based on trust in the citizen and a focus on the citizen’s resources and competencies.

A sample of tasks in the position;

• Responsible for your own case load and screening of citizens’ needs.
• Assess incapacity for work in accordance with the Sick-Days Benefit Act § 7.
• Support relevant citizens’ development in the role as employment mentor.
• Help the citizen identify resources, skills and job/education wishes.
• Provide advice and guidance with a focus on progression toward the labor market.
• Collaborate with IPS- and business consultants to create concrete job opportunities.
• Ensure continuity and documentation in the case management system.
• Collect and document relevant cases for e.g. disability pension and flexible job.

• have experience with using professional systems, preferably Schultz Fasit, and other relevant IT tools.
• are good at communicating – both in writing and orally.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and the salary is negotiated with the relevant trade union. The position is 30 hours per week, with start date by arrangement or no later than December 1, 2026.
