Job advisor for Gladsaxe Youth Unit

Would you like to help support young people on their path to education and employment?

In the Youth Unit we are seeking a committed and relationally strong job counselor who is motivated by working with young people and companies. We believe that all young people have resources and potential, and we work purposefully to get young people into jobs or education.

Your tasks

As a job counselor in the Youth Unit, you will be responsible for supporting young citizens on their path to employment or education through an employment-focused and relational approach.

That you do this includes

• Conduct job-focused and developmental conversations with young unemployed people with a focus on work, education and progression
• Advise young people on the use of digital job searching tools
• Qualify and use young people's CVs and other application materials as active tools in their job search
• Translate young people's resources, motivation and wishes into concrete and realistic job- or education-related goals
• Stay updated on the labor market's developments and explore industries, job opportunities and companies' need for labor
• Create and maintain relationships with companies with a view to establishing jobs
• Match companies' needs with the young people's competencies and follow up on established pathways
• Utilize education, upskilling and support options based on labor market needs and the individual young person's prerequisites
• Support development and potential clarification of the young person's work capacity
• Actively participate in interdisciplinary collaboration with internal and external partners to ensure coherent citizen pathways
• Make decisions as well as ensure correct and timely documentation in professional systems
• Work within the framework of employment legislation and communicate decisions and expectations clearly to the young person

Your upcoming team

You will become part of Team Youth, Job and Education, which is a new team of experienced staff with mixed professional expertise responsible for the education- and employment-oriented support for young people aged 15 to 29. The team is supported by an interdisciplinary coordinator and works daily closely with other teams in the Youth Unit.

Youth Unit Gladsaxe

The Youth Unit Gladsaxe is organizationally placed in Citizens' Services, Youth and Employment (BUB) in Gladsaxe Municipality. In the Youth Unit we are about 85 employees with both authority and execution tasks. We work with young people who need support to find their path toward education, employment and communities. We focus on progression, clear goals and a holistic approach, where the young person is actively involved in their own development. Our values Honest, Shared and Professional apply throughout BUB, and are the way we meeting and collaborating with citizens, companies, leaders and employees.

Salary and conditions of employment

The position is 37 hours per week with starting date 1 December 2026.

You will be employed under the Social Worker or HK agreement.
