As our capable colleague has moved to another town, we are now seeking a permanent educator for 37 hours a week for our kindergarten. The position starts on 1 December 2026.

Børnehuset Guldsmeden is a merged institution, spread across two sites. Guldsmeden Kindergarten is a municipal integrated institution, located at Grenen 2 & 4 in Gistrup. In one department we have 17 nursery places for children aged 0-2 years and 40 places for children aged 3-6 years. In the other department we also have 40 places for children aged 3-6 years.

The institution is surrounded by fields, green areas and forest, which we often use. We have a large green playground with fruit trees, berry bushes and raised beds with herbs and vegetables. Guldsmeden is certified by Friluftsrådet and our playground flies the Blue Flag. Guldsmeden is part of Dagtilbud Gistrups’ 10 institutions.

In department 2 we are 6 pedagogues, and 1 pedagogical assistant, 2 pedagogical aides, 1 student assistant and 1 kitchen manager. In department 4 we are 4 pedagogues, 2 pedagogical aides and a kitchen supervisor.

To become part of the Guldsmeden team you must be a trained educator, be professionally grounded and able to actively contribute with professional reflections on your own and others’ practice, and use these reflections in daily work. In addition, you should see opportunities in changes and new things, and you are not afraid of developing your own professional skills through sparring.

You must be proactive and see opportunities in daily life, where we collectively focus on solving the core task. In Guldsmeden we work as one house, therefore it is important that you can see yourself working both in the kindergarten and in the nursery. Since there are every day small lovely children who depend on you, you must be reliable and able to attend during the entire opening hours.

We are a institution in great development, and therefore we expect you to be co-creating a developing learning environment and support children's participation in child communities, all based on the new view of children.

Most of the staff at Guldsmeden has completed ICDP training and these principles are consciously applied, therefore it is an advantage if you have experience with ICDP. If you focus on star moments and their significance, we will be extra happy.

One of the most important qualities you must possess to work at Guldsmeden is that you have a warm, appreciative, curious and present approach to children, parents and colleagues, and your commitment to children's well-being, learning, formation and development shines clearly through in your practice. In your application you are very welcome to give examples of how this shines through your pedagogical practice.

At Guldsmeden we view parents as important partners, therefore you must be able to communicate clearly both in writing and orally and be able to prepare for example wellbeing evaluations and conversations.
