Judge at Copenhagen City Court

An opening for a judge at Copenhagen City Court is available from the 1 January 2027.

Appointment requires that you have passed the Master of Laws (cand.jur.) exam.

Salary and employment terms

Employment is as a civil servant in salary framework 38. For the position there is also attached a personal, position-related allowance. The total salary in the position currently amounts to 86,536 DKK per month (level 1 August 2026).

The pension contribution of the personal, position-related allowance is 17.1 percent.

You must attach a curriculum vitae, final bachelor- and master’s certificates, indicating grades and grade average, any landsrettsudtalelse (Court of Appeal opinion), as well as any other statements. Also please attach a realistic digital photo. Applications must be received in the recruitment system no later than 22 October 2026.

The Judicial Appointments Board is expected on 19 November 2026 to make a decision on whom is recommended for the position. The Board's recommendation will be published on the website on 20 November 2026, at 14:00. Applicants who have been interviewed by the board will be informed by phone between 13:00 and 13:30.

The Judicial Appointments Board provides a recommendation to the Minister of Justice regarding the appointment of judge positions.
