Junior Project Manager

Banedanmark is looking for a junior project manager to support a large and complex infrastructure project in execution. Are you structured, good at adapting to new tasks and autonomous? And are you interested in project management and eager to contribute to the delivery of one of 2027's major rail projects? Then you might be our new colleague!

Your role as a junior project manager

As a junior project manager you will become part of the project team for Track Renewal of Høje Taastrup-Roskilde, where you will have the opportunity to develop your skills within project management. You do not need to have experience as a project manager – the most important thing is that you are curious, structured and willing to take responsibility and learn new things. You will work under guidance and sparring from an experienced project manager. You will receive the necessary training and the opportunity to gradually take on more responsibility as you become familiar with the project manager role.

What does the job involve?

As a junior project manager you will be involved in

• Participation in planning, coordination and follow-up on the project in relation to time, finances and risk management
• Follow-up on activities, deadlines and agreements to ensure progress in the project
• Close coordination across the organization, partners and other stakeholders to ensure that relevant parties are informed and involved
• Contribute to meeting preparation, minutes, status updates and other project documentation
• Contribute to the collection of experiences regarding process optimization and knowledge sharing for collective learning
• Can plan, structure and prioritize your own tasks so that deadlines and agreements in the project are met
• Carry out and follow through on your tasks to completion
• be curious and has a desire to understand both the task, the business and the people around you
• Contribute to solving tasks and identifying opportunities for improvement in daily project management
• Be proactive and reach out when you lack information, sparring or input
• Can get acquainted with new work processes, project materials and administrative tasks
• Have good communication skills, both spoken and written, and be able to convey information at different levels
• Can work with several concurrent tasks and maintain an overview in a project organization with changing deadlines and needs

In short, you will support the project manager in daily project management, where you will gradually take on responsibility for your own tasks and sub-projects.

You will have your workplace at our head office centrally located in Copenhagen with a view of Dybbølsbro Station and Fisketorvet, as well as occasional periods on the construction site.

Salary

If you are an academic, you are hired under the applicable collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and a number of academic organizations for academics in the state.

You will be placed based on academic seniority and experience as a legal clerk at the baseline level in accordance with the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employee and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you can find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. There will be an employer-funded pension scheme of 18.07% attached.

Otherwise you are hired under the applicable Central Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees’ Organization – The Public Sector (OAO-S central agreement) and the organizational agreement for office clerks, laboratory technicians and IT employees.

The position is initially placed in salary grade 3.1-3.2 in the Capital Region according to the applicable collective agreement, which you can find here and the Employee and Competence Agency's salary overview, which you can find here.

Depending on your qualifications and competencies there is a possibility for negotiation of allowances. The total salary will include an employer-funded pension scheme of 16%.
