About the job
Are you a recent graduate or have a few years of experience in project management and are ready to kick-start your career with IT projects that make a societal difference? Are you structured, responsible, service-minded and good at collaboration? And do you want to be part of an attractive and dynamic work environment, where your professional development goes hand in hand with your deliverables? Then you are the junior project manager we are looking for.
We have an exciting and ambitious task, where we in collaboration with the Debt Collection Agency should develop the right IT solutions that support the Debt Collection Agency's strategy and business needs regarding data, system operation and system development. We deliver IT solutions that must ensure correct collection of public debt. With us you will therefore help lead projects, the successful completion of which is a crucial prerequisite for ensuring the future tax administration.
A job with development opportunities and the possibility to raise your professional level to new heights
You can look forward to becoming an important part of our project management team in the Office of the Management Secretariat for Collection and Debt, consisting of experienced project managers and junior project managers who work closely with the Debt Collection Agency on debt-system projects. The team's primary goal is to ensure professional project execution and transparent and data-driven reporting on the project's progress.
In the role as junior project manager you will have a unique opportunity to develop your project management skills in step with the task and gain broad experience with the daily work in an innovative agency. Collaboration and knowledge sharing are important to us, so we make the most of our competencies and continually learn from each other.
We use both traditional project methods within the framework of the State IT Project Model and agile methods as the framework for our IT development, so you will have the opportunity to develop competencies within both frameworks.
Secure agile and efficient execution
Together with your colleagues you will help ensure that societally important projects are executed as smoothly and efficiently as possible.
You will act as support for a senior project manager, who in you has an effective project-technical help that can e.g. support the preparation of material for steering groups, the State IT Projects Council etc.
In return you will learn the project discipline from an experienced colleague who guides you and supports your professional and personal development. Depending on your previous experience, there will also be the possibility to take on independent responsibility for smaller projects.
In addition you will, among other things, also
- Join a project management team consisting of 4-5 project managers, where you are expected to actively contribute to a value-creating team spirit
- Handle project administration, e.g. financial and resource management, to ensure the project is carried out as efficiently as possible within the given framework
- Handle significant coordination and collaboration tasks with respect to the project's stakeholders and partners e.g. steering group and cooperation offices
- Contribute to the preparation of various reports, recommendations and project documents
- Take on the ad hoc tasks that in a busy day help things move forward.
Analytical, methodical and with an interest in governance methods
We imagine you have an academic educational background or have otherwise achieved analytical understanding of projects and project execution. This means that you have:
- Experience from study or work with an analytical and methodological approach to governance, processes, economy, stakeholder handling etc. in projects, preferably IT development projects
- Have a sharp pen and can express yourself briefly and precisely in writing and speech
- Interest in and flair for governance methods such as PRINCE2/waterfall governance and agile development methods, and can support our project management with bridging these
- Willingness to navigate in large and complex projects with many strong stakeholders in a political, dynamic and complex environment.
You may have a few years of experience, but we also welcome you if you are a sharp new graduate candidate.
To succeed in the position it is crucial that you
- Are good at creating overview and structure of processes, products and tasks
- Have good collaboration skills and can build strong relationships with others
- Can take independent responsibility for tasks and see them through
- Are service-minded and can pre-emptively spot where help is needed in the project
- Can keep a cool head when there are many simultaneous activities with tight deadlines.
