About the job
Would you like to become proficient in complaints handling? And gain a lot of knowledge about the debt collection area? Then this position in our debt collection team in Odense is something for you: Become part of a team where your colleagues offer you professional sparring and a strong social cohesion.
A broad field of case types
In the Tax Appeals Board's 17th office in Odense, we would like to welcome a new colleague to the team, who primarily handles cases within the debt collection area. We are receiving more and more cases and therefore want more capacity for the team. You do not need to have prior knowledge of debt collection — you will gain that knowledge with us. We are looking for you who have a legal background and an interest in complaints handling.
At the office we work with a broad field of case areas within debt collection. In addition to debt collection, the office also handles cases within business taxation and other tax matters, which you will therefore also have the opportunity to try your hand at. Our core focus is high quality, efficiency and legal certainty. We will ensure that citizens and businesses experience competent complaints handling with correct and understandable decisions within a reasonable processing time. Therefore we work efficiently and take care in both time and content.
In the debt collection area there are types of cases such as remission, deferral, wage garnishment and statute of limitations on debt. We render decisions in most cases ourselves, while principled cases go to the National Tax Board. We have complex cases and cases that undergo rapid processing. You will work independently on your tasks, but will experience cross-team collaboration and plenty of professional sparring opportunities.
We design a tailored onboarding program for you, and you will be assigned a sparring partner who will help you on your way. You will be equipped to solve the tasks, which will be adapted to your professional development.
In the Tax Appeals Board we support flexible working conditions, and you discuss the framework for work planning with your manager based on the overall task solution.
Your responsibilities and primary tasks
- cases within debt collection, varying in complexity and nature.
- independent responsibility for your tasks, which you follow through to the end.
- ensure an efficient complaints handling, where you apply your legal competencies.
- ensure a good progression in your cases with good dialogue with complainants along the way.
With these tasks we envision that you
- are educated cand.jur. or cand.merc.jur., and have an interest in administrative law and legal case handling. You can be newly graduated or have experience - the most important is that you want to handle complaints, are ready to learn a lot about the case area and have a go-getter attitude.
- enjoy the written legal work and communicate clearly in writing, but also feel comfortable in dialog with the complainants in your cases.
- prefer to work independently, purposefully and take responsibility for your tasks and rest well in making professional decisions.
- are motivated for professional sparring, collaboration and learning across the team and thrive in an informal and social environment.
Did you know…
… that the Tax Appeals Board is one of the country’s largest legal workplaces, covering the full spectrum of complexity in tax law – from property valuation to transfer pricing and taxation of employees.
.. that the Tax Appeals Board is an independent appeals authority. This means that when a citizen or business has received a decision from, for example, the Tax Agency, which they do not agree with, they can appeal to us. It may concern which tax or VAT they must pay. Our most important task is to help citizens and businesses obtain the correct decision in their case. Every day we go to work to ensure the rule of law, and that, we think, gives our work meaning.
