About the job
Do you want to write code that doesn’t just sit in a repository, but is actually used by thousands of people in stores, cafes and attractions across the country? And does it appeal to you that you can get your ideas into production without going through three layers of management first? Then an internship in Amero’s development team might be exactly what you’re looking for.
At Amero we deliver Point of Sale solutions (POS, cash register systems, many names for the same thing 😊) to everything from clothing stores and wine bars to museums and restaurants. When customers can accept payments smoothly, keep track of inventory and provide a good customer experience, it’s also because our software plays a role. And here you come into the picture.
Development with AI
AI is a natural part of everyday life with us. We use Claude Code for development, and among other things we have built Uma, our own digital assistant, that the whole house uses. With AI as a partner you quickly gain lift and learn to transform complex problems into strong solutions, while diving deep into architecture and quality assurance. It gives you sharp professional skills, which moreover puts you at the forefront of the field in the future job market.
Your journey with us: How you grow as a developer
We believe you learn best when you’re allowed to build real things. Therefore you get responsibility from day one. Of course with sparring and a mentor in your corner.
- The first weeks: You will be introduced to the whole business, so you can see how your code creates value in reality. You get to know our products and receive your first task in the team.
- After one month: You have probably already written code that has been rolled out to customers. It could be a new feature in our POS software or an improvement that makes daily life easier for a shop owner. You’ll get feedback on your work, and you’ll feel the sense of: "Yes, this works!"
- After a few months: You are a regular part of the team and work independently on tasks in C#, .NET, JavaScript, Node.js or React. You’ll learn to balance quality and pace and discover what it’s like to deliver software you can be proud of.
- At the end of the internship: You’ve written code in several technologies, left your mark on the product and can point to concrete features and say: "This is something I developed. And it’s used by real customers every single day."
Your everyday life in the team
You will become part of a development team of 15 colleagues, where we combine ambition and professionalism with a strong sense of community. We prioritize thoroughness and good sparring. We’d rather have a solid solution you can be proud to show off than a quick patch.
There’s room for both deep focus, laughter and a Rubik’s Cube duel when the mind needs a break. We take walks together, we help each other, and we know that the best results come when you thrive.
You will receive a dedicated mentor who follows you closely, so you always have someone to spar with. And we guarantee that your internship with us will give you something you can use for the rest of your career, whether your future is with Amero in the form of a student job, bachelor’s thesis or perhaps a permanent position.
Who are you?
You are pursuing a degree as software engineer, computer scientist, web developer or something similar, and you need an internship in spring 2027. We don’t expect you to know everything from the start. The most important thing is that you come with curiosity, initiative and a desire to learn and contribute. We’ll help you with the rest.
Why Amero?
… because you want to be part of a growing company where new things are constantly happening
… because you get cool, modern surroundings in Aarhus, with room for deepening and a chat by the coffee machine
… because you want to have good colleagues who help each other, laugh together and celebrate successes
… because you want to work somewhere where well-being actually matters (we have a wellbeing score of 85 in the latest measurement, and yes, we’re proud of it 💪)
… because you think everyday life becomes more fun with wine tastings, go-karting, Office Olympics and other social events
… because you want to be somewhere you quickly become part of the community and never lack sparring, laughter or good vibes
