Sinologist with an interest in China's technological development

You will have influence and room to develop

Your primary area of work will consist in using your linguistic and analytical skills to strengthen our understanding of China in the technological field. This means that you will, among other things, translate, process, analyze and communicate Chinese-language material. We therefore place emphasis on your ability to work with and prioritise large amounts of data and complex information.

Together with your colleagues you will have a role in analysing China\'s technological development from different angles. At the same time you will participate in cross-disciplinary working groups with colleagues from across the service as well as with international partners. You will be part of a team with an extensive and complex portfolio of tasks. It comes naturally to you to cooperate, be thorough and have a good sense of source criticism. In addition, you must be curious and eager to delve into new subject areas.

We work with complex IT systems, and therefore you must have a broad IT understanding that enables you to quickly get into new platforms. It is an advantage if you have a technical background or experience with IT security, but this is not a must. The most important thing is your drive to learn new subjects and systems.

It is a requirement that you possess the qualifications listed below

• A relevant academic education
• Chinese language skills at a high level corresponding to HSK 5-6 (may have been obtained in various ways)
• Knowledge of/interests in domestic and international political developments in China
• Strong abilities in research and analysis, including the ability to find relevant information in a large and complex data set
• The ability to see the connections in the details and to make the information usable
• Experience in communicating your knowledge orally and in writing in both Danish and English
• Good IT skills and the ability to work persistently, systematically and focused with large amounts of material
• Good collaboration skills
• Experience with or openness to databases, data structuring or programming
• Experience with or openness to network data/IT security analysis

Your salary package depends on your qualifications

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the collective agreement between the Ministry of Finance and the relevant trade union, depending on your educational background. In addition, you have the possibility to negotiate enhanced pay based on qualifications. The standard working time is 37 hours per week including a paid lunch break. The position includes a pension scheme paid by FE.
