Kirstinehøjskolen is seeking a full-time special education assistant as of 1 November 2026 or as soon as possible. The position is fixed-term until 31 July 2027

The aim is to create wellbeing, learning and development opportunities for the children, so they can master their lives and participate in the general social norms.

Kirstinehøjskolen is Tårnby Municipality's treatment and special education provision.

Kirstinehøjskolen covers the entire school journey for children and young people and their families. The target group is children and young people with behavioral and/or psychosocial difficulties, which may include the diagnoses ADHD, autism, trauma reactions and/or other diagnoses.

Kirstinehøjskolen is normed for 42 pupils and 27 staff.

Students are divided into primary, middle and upper secondary groups, and the staff (teachers/educators) work in fixed teams for each group. There are between 1 and 8 students in each group, as there is great variation in how large communities the individual children can function in. As an employee at Kirstinehøj School, it is expected that you can participate in work in all three departments and be flexible. We also have an after-school care arrangement for the youngest students, which all pedagogues are involved in handling with about one shift per week.

We are seeking an employee who has a pedagogical education or relevant pedagogical experience from work in schools or special institutions

We are looking for a pedagogue/pedagogue assistant, who

• are fond of and have experience with children/youth who are challenged in various ways
• can work relationally and create trust and safety for the children
• can work in a team and are multidisciplinary oriented
• in periods can work with children in more individualized programs
• enjoy working movement-oriented outdoors and participate with the children in both teaching and pedagogical activities
• can plan, organize, execute and evaluate pedagogical courses and activities in a school context
• work and think flexibly in relation to finding new and useful ways
• have knowledge of using and including IT in daily activities
• are prepared to work with a high degree of flexibility in task solving and eager to contribute to creating the organization that is needed around a child and their family to achieve the best inclusion and development opportunities.
