Kitchen assistant for the canteen in Navitas - a job with fixed and practical tasks (full-time position).

We are looking for a kitchen assistant for a permanent position in our staff and student canteen in Navitas. You will become a very important part of the daily operation and will be responsible for a number of recurring tasks that help ensure a well-functioning canteen for the building's many users.

The position is particularly suitable for you who thrive with fixed areas of work, can work independently after thorough training and take pride in getting things done properly.

Part of the work involves daily lifting, replenishing and handling of goods, so it is important that you have good physical condition and thrive in an active job.

You do not need to have experience from kitchen or canteen or a education in the area, as you will not cook. The most important thing is that you want to contribute, can work independently and thrive within the framework of the job.

About the job

Your primary areas of work will be

• Receiving and preparing vegetables for the daily production according to instructions from the chefs.
• General daily dishwashing and kitchen cleaning including floor washing.
• Assist with various kitchen tasks.

You will receive thorough training in the tasks, including the use of our industrial vegetable slicer and dishwashers.

Our team consists of 9 employees who work closely together to create the best food experience for our guests. We have professional pride, are ambitious and make good food from scratch from good ingredients, which are delivered every day. In Navitas there are three different institutions: Aarhus University, Aarhus Machine Design School and Incuba. Building Services at Nat-Tech Byg, Aarhus University runs the canteen and is the operating company in the building, where 2,700 students, teachers, researchers, entrepreneurs and companies are gathered under one roof.

Formalities

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the agreement between the Ministry of Taxation and kitchen helpers in the state, etc., as well as the OAO-S joint agreement.
