Clinical Lecturer with teaching duties in pathology

At the Clinical Institute , Research Unit for Pathology is advertising a position as clinical associate professor, salary scale c, in pathology with 100 working hours per year including 15 confrontation hours on average for a period of 3 years.

There will be a possibility of extension.

Function area

The work in the clinical associate professorship also involves professional development as well as undergraduate teaching, including examinations. At the same time, a role as supervisor for master's degree students could also be discussed.

The tasks consist of teaching and conducting examinations (oral and written) for semester modules with teaching in pathology and disease classification in the Faculty of Health Sciences programs.

Qualifikations

The applicant for the position must be a specialist physician.

When employed, it will be emphasized that applicants possess the following qualifications

• Qualifications as a researcher and in research-based clinical development
• Pedagogical qualifications and interest in education

It is a condition of employment as a clinical associate professor that the person employed also has a main appointment at Odense University Hospital – Svendborg Hospital.

If a potential applicant is not deemed qualified for a clinical associate professorship, employment as an external lecturer could take place.

Employment

Employment is in accordance with Circular on the agreement for clinical lecturers at universities .

If the position is filled with an external lecturer, employment will take place in accordance with the agreement on external lecturers and teaching assistants at universities, etc. under the Ministry of Education and Research .

The clinical associate professorship is remunerated with an annual salary of 34,090.04 kr. (August 2026 level).
