Kitchen helper wanted for Coolshop's evening kitchen 🍽️ – fixed-term for 5 weeks

Before Christmas, things move really fast at Coolshop, and the warehouse is working at full speed to get the Christmas orders packed and sent off. When the evening shift has a long shift ahead, they shouldn’t have to worry about dinner – and that’s where you come in. The food is already prepared when it reaches you; your task is to heat it up and ensure the service runs smoothly, so the evening shift in the warehouse gets a proper breather and a good meal in the middle of a busy shift 🍲

You will be alone in the kitchen in the evenings, so you have the full overview from heating the food to washing the last plate. Are you the type who thrives on owning your own domain and finds peace in having full control of things yourself? Then you’re probably the one we’re looking for! 👩🍳

🍽️ The position in brief

• Kitchen helper for the evening shift at Coolshop’s warehouse – you are alone in the kitchen in the evening
• The food is already prepared – your task is reheating and running the service
• 5 hours daily, 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM
• Start date discussed – expected midweek 47
• Fixed-term through and including 5 weeks in total

🎯 About the role

You will be a central part of the daily life for the evening shift at the warehouse during one of the year’s busiest periods. The food is already prepared when it arrives to you, so it’s not cooking that awaits – it’s the execution of the dinner service, which is your task. This means that you:

🔥 Heat the finished evening meal so it’s ready exactly when the team eats

🍽️ Present the food and ensure the service runs smoothly so it’s easy for colleagues in the warehouse to take portions

🧽 Do the washing up and tidy after the meal, so everything is ready for the next day

🧼 Ensure light cleaning along the way, so hygiene is always under control

🚀 How you’ll succeed in the role

🕐 You have time management and routine – the food must be ready in the time windows when the shift takes a break and eats dinner

🧹 You have a sense of order – a clean and tidy kitchen is a given for you

🙋 You’re comfortable working alone and can solve the tasks and small challenges that arise along the way

😊 You’re reliable, even in a short and fixed-term period

Need to have

🧽 Are used to washing up and light cleaning

🙆 Are comfortable standing alone with the tasks and like having full control of the entire process

📅 Can work consistently 15-20 for the entire period

Nice to have

🍳 Have experience from a similar position – e.g., from a kitchen, canteen, or institution – with reheating and running of food

🍲 Have previously handled plating or serving to larger groups

🛑 You should probably look for something else if...

• You need something fixed and long-term – this is a fixed-term position for 5 weeks, and you must be okay with that from the start
• You would preferably have a colleague beside you daily and feel uneasy standing alone with the responsibility
• You prefer to have others outline the tasks for you rather than taking the initiative
