COOKS WANTED FOR GASTRO CANTEENS AT THE PAPER MILL IN SILKEBORG

Would you like to be part of a young team where there is time to go the extra mile, work with good ingredients, and create a really good experience for the guests every day?

We are seeking, as of November 1, a cook for our Gastro Kantine at our client at Papirfabrikken in Silkeborg.

Here you will be part of a young team of 2 cooks who each day prepare lunch for about 60 to 80 guests. This gives us some completely different opportunities than in a large canteen. We know our guests, have an open dialogue with them, and engage in the house and in their daily life.

We are therefore looking for a cook who not only wants to stand in the kitchen but also thinks it is great to be an visible part of the canteen and the daily guest experience.

THE JOB

At Papirfabrikken we have consciously chosen a relatively narrow range. On the other hand, we would rather make extra effort with what we serve.

We cook the food from scratch and work with some of the best ingredients we can get our hands on. The season is important to us, and we use local suppliers and producers when it makes sense. This means there is time for craftsmanship, taste, and the small details rather than just producing as much as possible.

As a cook you will be an active part of the whole canteen. You help plan and develop the food, prepare the day’s lunch, and ensure quality is right, but you are also out among the guests. We like to be close to the people we cook for, hear what they think, and engage in the house we are part of.

WHO ARE YOU?

We imagine that you are a trained cook and primarily love to make really good food. You care about ingredients, taste, and craftsmanship, and you want to work somewhere where there is room to pay a little more attention to things.

You take responsibility, contribute ideas, and thrive in a small team where everyone plays an important role. At the same time, you should be keen on people, because for us good hospitality and good guest contact are as natural a part of the job as the work in the kitchen.

You do not need to come with a particular canteen background. The most important is that you have the professionalism, curiosity, and the desire to be involved.

The working hours are, as a rule, Monday to Friday 6:30 to 14:30 , but the exact working hours can be agreed upon further.
