About the job

Can you communicate subject-matter expertise so that both the social- and health care assistant, the doctor and the journalist become more knowledgeable about dementia? And are you keen to both develop and drive our social media and other digital channels and to contribute to some of Denmark's most important dementia projects and initiatives with targeted communication efforts?

At the National Knowledge Center on Dementia we work with research, education and knowledge dissemination about dementia across Denmark. You will become part of the communications and press team, which besides you consists of a team leader, two e-learning consultants and a communications consultant. We work closely with the center's education consultants, project managers, clinical staff and researchers. Together with the research unit and the Memory Clinic at Rigshospitalet we are about 90 employees.

Responsibilities

In the team we work among other things with editing and development of the website, e-learning, newsletters, social media and printed materials. Our primary target audience is everyone who works with dementia, i.e. professionals within care and nursing, assessment, treatment and research, and we have a close collaboration with the press.

You will have partly responsibility for our social media and external newsletter, and to support the center's projects and strategic initiatives with targeted communication.

Your tasks will include

  • Develop and manage the knowledge center's social media and external newsletter.
  • Prepare communication plans for projects in close collaboration with the head of the communications and press team and relevant project managers.
  • Plan and implement targeted communication initiatives in connection with projects and strategic development initiatives.
  • Plan and communicate research results and professional knowledge across digital channels.
  • Contribute to communications professional sparring in the team and advise the center's experts and spokespeople on external communication on social media.
  • Contribute to documentation, evaluation and impact measurement of communication efforts.
  • Contribute to annual reports and external reporting.

We expect that you have

  • A relevant education in communications (e.g., cand.comm. or cand.mag.).
  • Several years of experience in communicating health-related material and/or research dissemination and a desire to work in the dementia field.
  • Strong written communication skills and a confident sense of tone of voice.
  • Experience with strategic and operational communication on digital channels.
  • Several years of experience in developing and running social media and newsletters via planning tools.
  • Experience with data-driven development, analysis and evaluation of digital communication initiatives.
  • Ability to autonomously drive communication projects in collaboration with subject matter experts and project managers.
  • Skills in visual communication, including the ability to work independently with photos and graphics.

We emphasize that you as a person have good collaboration skills and are imaginative, flexible, and service-minded. You work in a structured way with your tasks, which you always see through — whether it is about long-term planning and strategy for the digital channels, development of targeted communication initiatives or the daily execution of communication tasks.
