Communications Officer for high school outreach and information about DTU's engineering programs – Department of Communication and Media (temporary position)

We are seeking a communications officer who can help develop and run our offerings to high school students and contribute to the work of communicating about DTU's engineering educations to prospective students.

Your tasks in the job

In collaboration with your colleagues you will among other things

• develop, coordinate and host offerings and activities for high school students
• contribute to planning and execution of events for prospective students
• contribute to the office's other tasks within recruitment and communication to prospective students

The tasks range from development of offerings, practical execution of activities, communication, coordination and administration. It is therefore important that you have an eye for good communication, can create structure and enjoy getting things to happen together with your colleagues.

You will collaborate with many different people – both colleagues in the Communications Department and instructors, researchers and other professional environments across DTU.

Our expectations of you

We imagine that you have a relevant master's degree and preferably experience from a similar position. The position is broad, and we do not necessarily expect that you have worked with all areas before.

We emphasise that you

• have knowledge of and preferably experience with events and activities targeted at young people – e.g., bridge-building activities – and can think both communicatively and didactically. Insight into the technical and natural science area is an advantage.
• can analyse a communication situation, understand the target audience and plan the communication based on strategy and brand.
• are good at creating overview, coordinating between different actors and ensuring progress
• have good collaboration skills and are good at building and maintaining relationships
• can communicate clearly in writing and speak both Danish and English.

Your new workplace

You will be employed in the Department of Communications and Media, which has responsibility for DTU’s communications, press contact, recruitment to DTU’s programs, design line, website and intranet as well as a number of editorial channels and activities – including social media, the internal newsletter and the profile magazine Dynamo .

In daily work you will be part of the Office for Brand and Recruitment, which works with recruitment to DTU’s programs as well as strategic video production and content for social media. Our recruitment work contributes to DTU continuing to attract skilled and motivated students and educate engineers with competencies to contribute to technological development and solving society's major challenges.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment in accordance with the state’s collective agreement for academics. You are employed as a fuldmægtig (full-time officer). In addition, allowances can be negotiated in accordance with DTU's pay structure for AC TAP: https://www.inside.dtu.dk/human-resources/under-ansaettelsen/loen/loenstrukturer

The position is a fixed-term vacancy until 31.12.2027.

The position is 37 hours per week and is desired to be filled on 1 January 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter. Your workplace will primarily be DTU's campus in Lyngby, but there may also be workdays at DTU's other locations, e.g., Risø Campus and Ballerup Campus.
