Consultant for the social housing area in Brøndby

In Brøndby Municipality we have the country's highest relative share of social housing. Many of the social housing estates are undergoing or facing extensive renovations. At the same time, we are undertaking a very ambitious urban development project in Brøndby Strand, which largely involves the area's housing associations.

We are therefore seeking a consultant who can help lift the oversight task in the municipality and ensure that Brøndby's social housing creates even more value for the municipality and our citizens. This is a newly established position, so there is great potential for you to shape the task yourself.

Today we have a good and trusting collaboration with the housing associations. In recent years we have actively supported the city-strategic transformation processes in the social housing areas – both as an inspectorate, but also as a collaboration partner, sparring partner and by continually maintaining focus on the estates' role in the overall urban development. We want to build on this mode of cooperation. Several of our housing associations are locally administered or locally anchored, which also provides an opportunity for a close, ongoing dialogue and collaboration.

About the job

The following sampling of tasks awaits our new consultant

• Conduct the annual governance dialogue, in which the mayor and the municipal director participate
• Conduct the annual joint meeting with the housing associations, where we discuss a common theme across the municipality and the housing associations
• A coordinating, city-strategic function in relation to creating coherence between the extensive master plans for renovating most of the Brøndby Strand estates, the town development in the district and the municipality's other efforts in the district
• Handle coordination and planning of the strategic cooperation between the housing associations in Brøndby Strand, Brøndby Municipality and the Area Development Company for Brøndby Strand of the Future
• Act as secretary for the Tenant Complaint Board. You will have a central role in handling complaints in the social housing area
• Ordinary oversight tasks in collaboration with the area's lawyer
• Tasks relating to the formulation and exercise of the municipality's housing policy, e.g. strategic letting agreements, housing allocation, letting criteria, etc.

About you

First and foremost, you have solid knowledge of the social housing sector. Your educational background is of lesser importance, but you have documented experience with the area. We also expect that your personal qualities align with the way we have chosen to solve the oversight task, including dialogue and collaboration. Therefore you must be good at building and maintaining relationships with our partners, both internally and externally.

About us

The position is located in the Legal Team, which today consists of four lawyers who together cover all areas of administration. Our citizen advisor is also attached to the team. Although we work with different disciplines, we collaborate to find solutions and test viewpoints on questions we receive from the organization.

The Legal Team is part of the Policy and Organization Division, the municipality's central staff, located at Brøndby Town Hall. We work on supporting the top management and with HR, payroll, political servicing, legal advice, communications, organizational development and cross-cutting development tasks.

Salary and terms of employment

The position is full-time. You will be employed under the relevant collective agreement with the possibility of negotiating individual supplements depending on experience, competencies, etc.
