The target group of Ubbely Crisis Center is women and children who have been subjected to various forms of violence in intimate relationships. We also work with women affected by homelessness and complex social challenges.

Ubbely Crisis Center is built in a homely atmosphere around closeness, safety and security. The crisis center functions as temporary housing for women and children. Ubbely Crisis Center works purposefully against violence and focuses on the fact that violence is not a condition that can or should be accepted.

About the position

As a contact person you create secure relationships with the women. You offer supportive conversations and naturally incorporate your professional expertise. You contribute to cozy moments, good experiences and take initiative for activities inside and outside the house. You participate in the practical tasks in the house, the kitchen and in the garden. You participate in everyday chores and have supportive conversations with the women.

You will become part of a multidisciplinary team, where you will help develop the initiative and the professional profile of the crisis center. You should participate in meetings with external partners, training, courses and supervision. You will become part of a staff group where high professionalism, reflection and sparring are in focus in daily work.

Your profile

You are educated within the social field and have solid knowledge of working with vulnerable people. You have experience with and preferably other relevant courses/educations such as: sandplay, as a therapist and/or family work. You are passionate about working in and with the relationship in your pedagogical work, and you can map the pedagogical challenges and incorporate your professional expertise. Methodical and structured you can make observations and descriptions as well as make professional assessments in a social-pedagogical context.

You can document your descriptions and observations; we use the journal system “Danjournal” for this. You have experience with relationship work and meet the women from a basis of respect, empowerment and a recovery-oriented approach. It comes naturally to you to have an appreciative approach to the women, and it will be a plus if you have experience working with crisis-affected women and their children.

You have experience working with people from different cultural and social backgrounds and understand concepts such as social control, shame and honor and their significance in relation to the target group. You are mentally and physically robust, and able to maintain calm, overview and professional judgment – also in emotionally demanding situations.

Salary and employment terms

We are seeking 2 social professionals for 37 hours in Stenløse and Bagsværd with start as soon as possible, possibly starting as a temporary/on-call substitute.

The working hours will be rotating shifts all days of the week from 08:00-21:00. Weekend work is from 10-16 approx every 4th week. The position is paid according to qualifications and competencies.

The job requirements are: a criminal record check and a child protection certificate as well as a driver's license must be shown.
