Do you want to help set the professional direction in our kindergarten and develop both pedagogy and practice?

We are looking for an engaged and professionally strong coordinating pedagogue for our kindergarten. You will become part of a management team consisting of the day-care leader and two - including you - coordinating pedagogues, who together set a common professional direction at Sommerfuglen.

About Sommerfuglen

Sommerfuglen is an integrated day-care institution with space for about 160 children spread across 8 rooms. Currently we have 46 infants and 75 preschool children. The institution is centrally located by Vallensbæk Station.

We also have a fantastic forest department, where the children, for one week a month, have the opportunity to explore nature, use their imagination, move, and experience the calm away from everyday routines.

Your tasks

As coordinating pedagogue you will be responsible for the professional leadership of the kindergarten. You will among other things:

• Support the development of pedagogical practice and ensure a clear professional direction in collaboration with the management.
• Be close to practice and translate reflection into action and contribute to structure, routines and good transitions that strengthen the children's communities.
• Collaborate with colleagues and support joint professional development and be a visible and present role model in everyday life.

We are looking for a pedagogue who

• Has a clear professional stance and is clear in their expectations of both colleagues and management.
• Dares to question practice and is curious about new solutions.
• Is clear and strong in the relation to children, parents, and colleagues and sees children's influence and intentions as a natural part of everyday life.
• Thrives in team collaboration and contributes positively to the community and has experience in creating structure and coherence in daily life.
• Is present and good at creating secure relationships and always has the child's perspective and well-being at the center.

At Sommerfuglen we work with participatory adults. This means that we practice playing together with the children, both indoors and outdoors, and create inspiring learning environments that awaken curiosity and a desire to play.

About the day-care area in Vallensbæk

We are in the process of being certified as an ICDP day-care area, and therefore it is important that you can see yourself in this. At the same time we are very focused on becoming even better at language stimulation, because we know how important language is for a child’s well-being and life chances, and therefore we work with Sprogklar, Sangglad and language kits.

In the day-care area we have two practice mentors, a pedagogical intervention adviser and a language and resource corps that support the development of quality in the individual day-care facilities.
