Korsvejens School is seeking a German teacher

The position can be tailored to you depending on whether you want a part-time or a full-time appointment.

As a starting point there are 10 German hours in the timetable, which correspond to 40% employment.

If you are interested in more, we use your other main subjects up to the desired level of employment.

The German classes from 6th – 9th grade are primarily split classes with 10-12 students per class, which provides opportunities for a more varied and engaging instruction, including outings.

If you are interested, you can become part of Korsvejens Skole with nearly 400 students distributed across 2 streams 0th – 9th grade and 75 staff in total.

Korsvejen has a strong academic and social community where everyone helps and supports each other, so we scaffold safe and ambitious learning environments, where students learn and develop academically, and where in a substantial part of the lessons there are split-class hours or two adults in teaching. In addition, all teachers have a weekly homeroom lesson used for conversations with about 14 contact pupils.

Your working hours can be laid out flexibly (on and off the school premises) taking into account teaching, common preparation/collaboration, and meetings.

Salary and employment terms

The employment is in accordance with the applicable agreement with the Danish Teachers' Central Organisation after negotiation.

The municipality's employment policy entails that references are obtained from previous and current workplaces upon hiring. If you have been employed in Tårnby Municipality, a reference will always be taken here. In addition, a criminal records check must be presented and a child protection certificate obtained. Employment will be conditional on these being satisfactory.

If you are a recent graduate, Tårnby Municipality, in collaboration with DLF, Branch 13, offers an introductory program for newly qualified teachers and kindergarten-class leaders.

It takes place in conjunction with your manager, union representative and safety representative.

The first two years as a newly qualified teacher also include reduced teaching time, and at all schools there is a mentoring scheme.
