About the job
Quality and Development Nurse for 24-hour and Rehabilitation Center Hegnsgården
Do you want to set the direction for nursing quality and translate professional knowledge into safe and rehabilitative practice?
We are seeking an experienced and development-oriented nurse for a non-shift position of 32–37 hours per week at Døgn- og Rehabiliteringscenter Hegnsgården in Rudersdal Municipality.
You will play a central role in driving quality and improvement work, strengthening patient safety and developing staff professional competencies. Based on the clinical everyday life, you will create improvements that contribute to safe and cohesive citizen pathways.
About us
Hegnsgården is a 24-hour facility under development. We are working to develop the temporary spaces so they can meet future requirements for health services.
Residents often have complex health needs that require strong clinical competencies and close coordination across disciplines and sectors. Nursing and therapeutic interventions must work together to support residents' functional ability, independence and goals.
Your tasks
You drive the nursing quality development and ensure that professional standards are translated into workflows that work in practice.
Your main tasks are to
- Develop and implement professional standards: Prepare, revise and follow up on nursing instructions, guidelines and workflows.
- Strengthen patient safety: Follow up on adverse events (AEs) with focus on learning and prevention, including collaboration with the pharmaconomist on medication-related issues.
- Drive systematic quality and improvement work: Plan and conduct clinical audits according to the center's annual cycle and follow up on results. Apply relevant methods, including the improvement model, to identify challenges, test solutions and maintain improvements.
- Develop staff competencies: Organize training, guidance and professional sparring based on staff everyday life and clinical practice.
- Support quality in complex citizen pathways: Spar with staff on health-related issues, clinical assessments and documentation.
- Develop interdisciplinary rehabilitation: Collaborate with the development therapist on joint workflows and a rehabilitative practice and contribute to coordinated actions and ensure transitions across sectors.
It is crucial that you can create engagement and following and carry improvements through to ensure they are anchored in daily practice.
Organizational placement and collaboration
You report directly to the center director and have an independent role with close managerial sparring.
Your closest collaboration in development work is the center's development therapist. Together you drive the professional development across with respect for the contributions of the different professional groups. You also work closely with the ward managers, the pharmaconomist and other staff to prioritize development needs and implement improvements.
We are looking for someone who
- Is a licensed nurse with solid clinical experience.
- Has experience with or strong competencies in quality development, patient safety and systematic improvement work.
- Can translate professional knowledge into practice and work in a structured way with implementation and follow-up.
- Has good communication and guidance skills and can make professional learning relevant and usable for staff.
- Can create engagement, followers and collaboration across professions.
- Understands rehabilitation and the interplay between nursing and therapeutic interventions.
- Works independently, takes initiative and follows tasks through to completion.
- Has good IT skills and understanding of health-related documentation.
It is an advantage if you have an advanced health professional education or further training in, for example, practice development, quality development, project management or guidance.
We offer
- A central role with influence on the center's nursing quality and professional development.
- Opportunity to drive development tasks from idea to testing, implementation and follow-up.
- Close collaboration with management and dedicated colleagues across disciplines.
- A non-shift position of 32–37 hours per week.
- Salary and employment terms according to the current collective agreement.
In Rudersdal Municipality we believe we only succeed together. We work to create sustainable solutions that make a difference for citizens and support a professionally strong and cohesive effort.
