Lab technician for night shift in environmental laboratory

Our metals department functions as a national competence center and performs analyses of metals and minerals in various sample types, including soil, construction waste, sludge, food and much more. The department analyzes around 400,000 samples each year.

Job Description

We are looking for an engaged laboratory technician for our night shift in the Metals Department.

As a laboratory technician you will be involved in the whole process from receipt of samples to finished analysis results. Your primary tasks will include handling samples on ICP-OES, CV-AAS and ICP-MS instruments.

Qualifications

• You have a relevant educational background as a laboratory technician or equivalent and possess solid professional competencies in laboratory work.
• You have an understanding of sample preparation, analytical methods and data processing.
• You can work in accordance with applicable method specifications, quality requirements and safety procedures.
• You are able to work systematically, be structured and maintain an overview during busy periods.
• You have good collaboration skills and a positive attitude
• Ability to keep an overview during busy periods

The work requires both standing and walking activities, so physical mobility is important.

Working Hours

37 hours (including paid breaks) per week distributed over 4 workdays (by agreement). You will also join our Saturday shift, where you work about every 8th Saturday, and have corresponding time off in the week before or after.
