Laboratory Technician

Then you may be our new laboratory technician in the QC Biochemistry team in Kvistgård, either in a permanent position or a temporary position for 2 years.

You will become part of QC Biochemistry, which is a diverse and dynamic team, consisting of both academics (nine) and laboratory technicians (ten). You report to the Team Leader for the technician group in QC Biochemistry.

Our team is responsible for test methods for analysis of both raw materials and various sample types from production, stability studies and our process development department, to ensure the quality of the vaccines we manufacture at Bavarian Nordic. As we work with living cells, there may be shifted working hours on weekdays as well as occasional shifts on weekends and holidays.

We are responsible for development and validation of both new and existing methods as well as equipment qualification. We collaborate across the organization and are part of Bavarian Nordic's QC department with over 90 employees. All our work is carried out under GMP.

Your primary responsibilities

Your tasks may include performing chemical analyses of vaccines and raw materials. We perform, among others, HPLC, Karl Fischer, ELISA, Osmolality, pH and Appearance. In addition we work on determining salt and glucose concentrations as well as protein determinations, toxicity measurements and HAD/AD on cultured cells. Method development, method validations and equipment qualifications are also part of the tasks and take place in collaboration with our scientists.

Are you our next QC pioneer?

We are seeking a laboratory technician who is passionate about laboratory work and wants to help develop and safeguard our analytical processes. We envisage that you:

• Are educated as a laboratory technician, bioanalyst or equivalent
• Have experience with biochemical analyses and possibly cell culture
• Have experience with GMP (This would be advantageous, but not required)
• Are proficient in Danish and English, written and spoken

As a person you work in a structured way, are proactive, take responsibility and have a positive attitude, also when priorities change. You possess a good sense of humor, have good collaborative skills, and thrive in varied work with both routine tasks and development.
