About the job

Join a strong team in the Medical Ward

Do you like keeping track of details, creating overview and making things work – even when it’s busy? And do you also want to be part of a team where we help each other, develop together and have fun along the way? Then maybe you are the one we’re looking for.

At the Medical Department at Horsens Regional Hospital we are looking for a medical secretary/health administrative coordinator for our team on the medical inpatient wards. The position is 37 hours and available from 1 January 2027 or by agreement.

Here you get more than just a desk

As a medical secretary/health administrative coordinator you are an important part of the patient’s journey – even if you are not at the patient’s bedside.

You help ensure that documentation, coordination and administration work so that our clinical colleagues can focus on their core tasks.

Your daily work will include, among other things

  • charting and documentation
  • drafting medical notes
  • administrative tasks related to patient pathways
  • coordination across inpatient wards, day wards and clinics
  • collaboration with doctors, nursing staff and other professional groups
  • specialty-related tasks within the medical fields

We are a writing-heavy department, so you must enjoy charting and have good Danish – both written and spoken.

Why should you choose us?

Because we believe that you get better when you work together.

We are 8 secretaries and 1 coordinator, distributed across two medical inpatient wards. We work across teams, help each other and share our knowledge.

With us you get

🤝 A strong sense of community

We pull together and help each other – even when the pace is high.

🧠 Opportunity for development

We are curious about new solutions and want to develop both our workflows and our competencies.

🔄 Varied tasks

We work across functions and specialties, giving you the opportunity to use and develop different skills.

🏠 Flexibility

We offer remote connection and the possibility of working from home by agreement – typically one day a week.

😊 A working environment with room for humor

We take our work seriously. But we don’t always take ourselves so seriously. There should be room for a laugh during the day.

We are looking for someone who...

  • is trained as a medical secretary or health administrative coordinator
  • has knowledge of the region’s IT systems
  • thrives with charting, documentation and administrative tasks
  • works in a structured way and has an eye for detail
  • can maintain overview when many balls are in the air
  • takes responsibility and is happy to come up with ideas for how we can do things even better
  • is a good colleague and contributes actively to the community

Experience with medical specialties is an advantage – but not a requirement.

The most important for us is that you want to be part of the team, take responsibility for your tasks and are curious to learn something new.

A workplace in development

We are constantly working to make our everyday life smarter and our collaboration even better.

Therefore we do not expect you to just come in and do things as we have always done.

We would like to hear your ideas.

We have good experiences with cross-functional work and developing our competencies together. You will therefore have the opportunity to put your own stamp on everyday life and be involved in finding solutions that work in practice.

The practical

  • 37 hours per week
  • Start date 1 January 2027 or by agreement
  • Weekend shift roughly every 8 weeks
  • Approximately 2 public holiday shifts per year
  • Possibility of working from home by agreement
  • The position is covered by New Salary

Would you like to meet us?

If you sit and think, " It actually sounds like a place I could see myself " , then we would love to hear from you.

You are also very welcome to contact us if you want to know more about the job or daily life in the team.
