About the job
Children and Young People
Do you want to give children a strong start to their school life – and is Danish one of your strong subjects? Then maybe you are the one we are looking for?
We have a cohort of wonderful children who need a competent, engaged and relationship-oriented teacher.
If you also have culinary arts, that's a plus – but certainly not a requirement. Maybe you have other subjects or competences we haven't even thought of yet. The most important thing is that you have something of professional substance to contribute and are keen to bring it into play with us.
With us you get
- a close collaboration with teachers and educators around the children
- opportunity to follow a class and be an important adult throughout the school years from year 1 to 6
- colleagues who want to support each other and develop practice together
- a everyday life with a focus on academic learning, relationships, presence and strong child communities
- opportunity to put your own mark on the teaching and on the school's shared development.
We believe that the best solutions for the children are created together. Therefore, collaboration between teachers and educators matters a lot to us, just as our shared view of childhood is an important part of everyday life.
Perhaps your subjects are not exactly on our wishlist. That doesn't matter.
We are primarily looking for you – a skilled teacher, a good colleague and a person who wants to be part of Vinderup School.
About Vinderup School
Vinderup School and SFO Dragen is a development-oriented public school in scenic surroundings in Holstebro Municipality – just 16 km north of Holstebro.
We have about 300 pupils from 0–6th grade and an engaged staff who work every day to ensure that all children experience academic development, well-being and being part of the community.
At Vinderup School we work with a focus on broader child communities, an appreciative view of children and strong general pedagogy. We believe that children develop best when they meet clear adults, good relationships and varied learning opportunities.
We are a school with a diverse student body, where children come with different prerequisites, perspectives and needs. We see this as a natural part of the school's task and as an opportunity to create a school where there is room for diversity, and where all children feel they belong.
In the primary years, teachers and educators work closely together about the children and everyday life. We plan, follow up and adjust our practice together, so that it takes its starting point in the current group of children and gives as many as possible the opportunity to succeed.
We are looking for you who
- are a trained teacher and passionate about Danish for grades 1–6
- can create safe, structured and inspiring learning environments for the youngest students
- see opportunities in different forms of participation so more children can be part of the community
- are clear, calm, present and strong in relationships
- can create a good balance between academic learning, play, movement and creativity
- have an eye for each child while also maintaining the community and shared expectations
- thrive in a school where tasks are sometimes complex and where we solve them together
- value close and committed collaboration with colleagues and parents
- are curious about your own practice and want to develop both yourself and the school
- actively contribute to the school's academic and social community.
We offer
- an engaged and helpful staff group with good humor and strong solidarity
- a school in development with a focus on academic learning, well-being and community
- a daily life with good opportunities to put your professional and personal competencies to use
- a close collaboration between school and SFO
- a strong focus on broader child communities
- collegial sparring and the opportunity to help develop the school's practice
- a mentor who knows the school's daily life and student group
- ongoing sparring and dialogue with your immediate manager
- an employer where we take both the task and each other seriously.
