About the job

We are looking for a dedicated teacher with strong competencies in a special education field who is passionate about creating development, well-being and meaningful everyday life for children with, among others, autism spectrum disorders and emotional/behavioral challenges.

We are looking for you who is academically rooted in special pedagogy and who masters the core of relationship work. You are skilled at reading and meeting the individual child's needs – both in developing mastery strategies, supporting self-regulation and establishing safe, structured learning and well-being environments.

The position requires close and committed collaboration with colleagues, parents and management. Therefore, you are eager to actively contribute to a strong and development-oriented team, and you are conscious of your own role and significance in the professional community. As a teacher you didaktize the academic content, set goals for all subject areas, develop annual plans and individual extended pupil plans.

We expect that you

  • are a trained teacher, and preferably with competencies in some of the following subjects; Mathematics, science and preferably special pedagogy.
  • have solid knowledge about autism and experience with working in a structured, predictable and visual way.
  • are academically grounded both in spoken and written language.
  • can work systematically with the pupil's development – academically, socially and emotionally. And have high ambitions for the pupils.
  • are a clear and competent classroom leader who creates safe, structured and relationship-based learning environments that support learning joy and accommodate students' different needs – always with an appreciative approach.
  • are curious, patient and persistent in your approach to students' learning and well-being.
  • can participate in close teamwork and contribute constructively to shared academic reflection.
  • communicate openly and respectfully with parents, close colleagues and partners.
  • have good relational skills in the approach to pupils, parents, close colleagues and partners.
  • are willing to participate in professional development and development of PLF in the team.
  • are calm, clear and patient and can see yourself in our view of children.

We offer you

  • a good working environment, and a workplace where we help each other and take care of each other.
  • a school focused on the academic, integrity and pride.
  • an attractive workplace with high well-being and an appreciative culture.
  • a dynamic environment with room to grow and no fault-finding culture. To become part of an ambitious team with good colleagues.
  • beautiful and energetic children in a smaller special environment.
  • a close and meaningful parent collaboration.
  • a professional and pedagogical staff group focused on responsibility, cooperation, well-being, integrity and high professional standards.
  • a workplace community where humor, helpfulness and care for one another are highly valued.
  • a high degree of influence on daily content and on the development of the special offer.
