Warehouse and Logistics Manager for Schmiedmann Odense

Do you want to lead the warehouse at a company centered around BMW and MINI?

Schmiedmann is an international company specializing in spare parts, accessories and equipment for BMW and MINI. We have customers in both Denmark and abroad and a daily life with high tempo, many item numbers and a strong focus on fast and correct delivery.

We are seeking an engaged and experienced warehouse manager who can take the overall responsibility for the daily operations and at the same time be visible and active in the warehouse, which counts 8-10 full-time employees and 4-6 youth- and student workers.

Your tasks

As warehouse manager you will be responsible for the daily operations and development of the warehouse.

Your main tasks will include

• Daily leadership and coordination of the warehouse team
• Planning and allocation of tasks
• Ensure efficient goods reception, picking, packing and shipping
• Ensure high quality and correct handling of goods
• Follow-up on stock levels and warehouse discrepancies
• Planning and conducting warehouse counts
• Ensure order, structure and systematic work in the warehouse
• Follow-up on productivity, errors and delivery times
• Optimize work processes and warehouse procedures
• Ensure efficient use of warehouse space
• Cooperation with purchasing, sales, webshop and administration
• Contact and coordination with carriers and other partners
• Training and development of the warehouse staff
• Actively participate in daily warehouse operations when necessary
• Contribute to the implementation and development of new systems and working procedures

You will be an important part of the operation

We are not looking for a warehouse manager who only sits in the office.

You must be visible in the warehouse , have a feel for daily operations and be ready to step in when needed. At the same time, you should be able to lift your gaze and work with structure, planning and development.

You will become a central person in ensuring that our warehouse operates efficiently and that our customers receive their goods on time.

We expect that you

• Have several years of experience from warehousing or logistics
• Have experience with personnel management or coordination of employees
• Have a good overview and work in a structured way
• Are clear in your communication and good at following up
• Can create motivation and engagement in a warehouse team
• Are solution-oriented and take responsibility
• Have a practical approach to tasks
• Have good IT skills and preferably experience with ERP/warehouse management systems
• Have an understanding of warehouse management, goods flow and stock counting
• Can work independently while also collaborating across the company
• Masters Danish in writing and speaking
• English at a reasonable level is an advantage

Experience from the automotive industry or with spare parts is an advantage, but not a requirement.
