We need your energy in our legal team in Policy & Law in the Department for Employment and Social Services in Odense Municipality. We cannot offer you a job where you will be making coffee or running errands. On the other hand, we can promise that you will use your theoretical skills in a safe framework among professionally skilled colleagues who all burn for their work and for the law.

Who are we

We offer employment in Policy & Law, which is part of the Management Secretariat, serving the entire administration, from the top management to the individual advisor. You will become a colleague with 18 capable consultants and lawyers with different areas of responsibility within the employment, education, and social sectors. The job offers a varied daily life at a dynamic workplace where we value community and where the social bonds in the department contribute to a good working environment.

Of the 18 employees in Policy & Law, we are 8 lawyers, each with our own specialty, and you will become part of a team where we help each other answer questions such as:

• Can one receive social assistance between two educations?
• Which personal data can the job center collect without the citizen's consent?
• Is it an exercise of power to guide a citizen back to their own room if two residents in a care facility have had a disagreement?
• Can the job center decide that a person must not be a party representative in a case?
• Can the municipality offer free psychological assistance to individual citizens within the municipality, outside the regular waiting lists?
• Should a citizen always be heard before a decision is made?
• When should the Children and Young People Committee be involved when decisions are made about removing a child from home?
