We are seeking an experienced nurse professional leader who can unite people, create direction and ensure results in an organization under development. A leader who meets employees and partners with respect and integrity, but who at the same time has the courage to make decisions, set a clear direction and assume responsibility for both staff, quality and operations. The leadership task draws on Region Nordjylland's ITOP values (Influence, Trust, Integrity and Professionalism).
The position requires a leader who thrives with responsibility, development and change and can create results through both relationships, professional leadership and secure operations.

Here, citizens from hospital or home will receive targeted interventions within care, treatment, observation, rehabilitation and/or interdisciplinary clarification. The offering is built on high professional standards, interdisciplinary collaboration and a rehabilitative approach with a focus on supporting the citizen’s ability to master their own life as well as possible.
The nursing area takes its point of departure in Fundamentals of Care (FoC) as a conceptual framework and works purposefully to integrate the citizen’s physical, psychological and relational needs into care and treatment.
As the leading Chief Nurse you will be part of the leadership team in the Department for Citizen-Centered Health and will have a central role in the development of the overall offering as well as in the collaboration with Aalborg Municipality, general practice and the hospital’s other departments.
You will be responsible for staff who daily perform complex health-professional tasks with high professionalism and strong commitment. A key leadership task will be to unite two existing units into one common professional environment with a strong culture characterized by quality, collaboration, learning and shared responsibility.
The coming period will be highly shaped by the establishment of the new unit. Therefore you must be able to create security and direction in changes while ensuring high quality and stable daily operations.
The task includes, among other things

Emphasis is placed on the ability to unite staff around common goals and create engagement during a period of organizational development and change. The task requires a leader who can balance consideration for staff, quality, operations and partners, even when the task is complex and interests are many.
Through presence, clarity and integrity trust and security are created, while the courage to make decisions, address challenges and maintain direction when the situation requires it is expected. Collaboration and involvement are highly valued but should be accompanied by decisiveness and the ability to implement necessary changes.
Relevant leadership education is valued highly, and completion of a leadership education is expected if not already obtained.
About the Department for Citizen-Centered Health
The Department for Citizen-Centered Health is a new department at Aalborg University Hospital with functions across seven municipalities in the Health Council Limfjord.
We work for a more cohesive health system, where citizens experience safe and coordinated pathways across sectors. In close collaboration with municipalities, general practice and the hospital’s other departments, we develop new citizen-centered health offerings that support the aims of the Health Reform to provide treatment closer to the citizen’s daily life.
As a leader you will be part of a department that is still under development, but which at the same time must deliver high quality every day. Therefore we are seeking leaders who can both develop and operate, build relationships and results, and keep focus on what is most important: the citizens and the patients.
