Play, clear boundaries and 1:1 – would you like to create great afternoons?

Do you have experience with children who need structure, predictability and close support? Here you get a 1:1 assignment with a cheerful and energetic 6-year-old boy in Haderslev, where your pedagogical skills and your ability to build a good relationship are at the center.

About the assignment

The boy is a real little playground kid who loves to be active. He likes to play outside, read books and watch TV, and you will help create some familiar and good afternoons together with him.

He is being assessed for autism and ADHD and is impulsive and full of energy. He thrives best when the framework is clear, and he knows what will happen. At home, pictograms are used, among other things, which work well for him.

Your task is to create structure and predictability around your time together while being able to read his daily form. Some days he has plenty of energy for play and activities, while on other days he can be tired after kindergarten and need you to adjust the plan.

He needs close 1:1 support and may run away if there isn't an adult nearby. Therefore it is important that you can stay calm and create clear and safe frameworks around the activities.

The boy currently uses diapers, while the family works with him to become toilet trained. As a starting point, the mother handles diaper changes, but you should be prepared to help if she is not at home.

About you

The most important is not your educational title, but that you have relevant pedagogical competences and experience with children who need clarity, structure and close support. Experience with autism and ADHD is an advantage.

You must be able to meet the boy with calm and clarity and at the same time be willing to play and be active with him. You can create recognizable frameworks without being locked into a plan and can adjust the activities when you sense that he needs something else.

Working hours

The position is two fixed weekdays per week, 3 hours each.

The hours are between 1:00 PM and 5:00 PM, and the specific days and times are agreed with the family.

Outside office hours there is always a staffed on-call phone, so you are never alone. Salary and pension in accordance with the National Agreement entered into between FOA and Dansk Erhverv.
